WASHINGTON, D.C. – After a quick stop at home, the Quinnipiac women's basketball team hits the road to the nation's capital for a Monday showdown with George Washington. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. from the Charles E. Smith Center on ESPN+.
THE MATCHUP: vs. GEORGE WASHINGTON
● The Colonials come into the contest at 2-2 on the campaign, picking up a 47-45 win over Old Dominion on the road in their last time out this past Thursday.
● In its four games, George Washington has held its opponents to just 53.8 points per game, allowing just one team to score more than 50 points in a contest.
● The Colonials are forcing opponents to shoot just south of 40 percent from the field and 25 percent from three.
● Monday will mark the third ever meeting between the Bobcats and Colonials, dating back to their first meeting in 2003.
● George Washington came away with a 78-67 victory over Quinnipiac in the last matchup on Dec. 7, 2019 in Hamden.

● Elsewhere in Connecticut, ESPN.com unanimously predicted Quinnipiac to win the MAAC Championship to earn a berth in its sixth NCAA Tournament.
Women's Hoops Ranked No. 16 in Mid-Major Top-25
● The Quinnipiac women's basketball team enters the 2021-22 season ranked No. 16 in the Women's Mid-Major Top 25 rankings, earning 292 points, as announced by the College Insider committee on Nov. 9.
MACK ATTACK
● Through the first four games of the season, senior guard Mackenzie DeWees leads the team in points (17.3) and steals (4.8) per game.
● DeWees' 19 total steals and 4.8 steals per game both rank second in the nation.

● The undefeated streak, which lasted over the course of three seasons, came to an end at 46 straight wins for the Bobcats when holding a halftime lead. Quinnipiac went undefeated in both 2014-15 (24-0) and 2015-16 (19-0) and for the first two games of 2016-17 before suffering the defeat.
