Quinnipiac University Athletics
Quinnipiac's Department of Athletics & Recreation is composed of 21 varsity sports teams including seven men's teams (baseball, basketball, cross country, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer and tennis) and 14 women's teams (acrobatics & tumbling, basketball, cross country, field hockey, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, rugby, soccer, softball, tennis, indoor track & field, outdoor track & field and volleyball). Quinnipiac joined the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in 2012-13 for all sports except field hockey, acrobatics & tumbling, women's rugby and men's and women's ice hockey. Field hockey completed its first season as members of the BIG EAST Conference in 2016. Acrobatics & Tumbling is a member of the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) while women's rugby is a member of the newly-formed National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA). Men's and women's ice hockey compete as members of ECAC Hockey.

From Providence and east
Take I-95 to New Haven. Then take I-91 North to Exit 10 (Route 40). Follow Route 40 approximately three miles to its end (at Whitney Avenue). Turn right onto Whitney Avenue (Route 10) and proceed north for 1.4 miles. Turn right onto Mount Carmel Avenue and go 0.3 miles to campus.
From New York City and west
Take I-95 to New Haven. Then take I-91 North to Exit 10 (Route 40). Follow Route 40 approximately 3 miles to its end (at Whitney Avenue). Turn right onto Whitney Avenue (Route 10) and proceed north for 1.4 miles. Turn right onto Mount Carmel Avenue and go 0.3 miles to campus.
Alternately, you may take the Wilbur Cross (Merritt) Parkway (Route 15) to Exit 61. Turn right onto Whitney Avenue (Route 10) and proceed north 3 miles to Mount Carmel Avenue. Turn right onto Mount Carmel Avenue and go 0.3 miles to campus..
From Hartford and east
Take the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) to Exit 62. Turn right onto Whitney Avenue (Route 10) and proceed north 3 miles to Mount Carmel Avenue. Turn right onto Mount Carmel Avenue and go 0.3 miles to campus.
From Northern New Jersey
Follow Route 287 over Tappan Zee Bridge to Exit 8. Follow Route 287 to Merritt Parkway (Exit 9N). Take the Parkway (Route 15) to Exit 61. Turn right onto Whitney Avenue (Route 10) and proceed north 3 miles to Mount Carmel Avenue. Turn right onto Mount Carmel Avenue and go 0.3 miles to campus.
From Hartford, Boston, and Upper New England
Take I-91 South to Exit 10 (Route 40). Follow Route 40 approximately 3 miles to its end (at Whitney Avenue). Turn right onto Whitney Avenue (Route 10) and proceed north for 1.4 miles. Turn right onto Mount Carmel Avenue and go 0.3 miles to campus.
From western Connecticut and upper New York State
Take I-84 to Exit 26. At end of exit, bear right on Route 70 toward Cheshire. Continue on Route 70 to Route 10. Turn right on Route 10 and go about 7 miles to Mount Carmel Avenue. Turn left onto Mount Carmel Avenue and go 0.3 miles to campus.

To M&T Bank Arena
-- From I-91: Take exit 10 (Route 40 connector) to Route 10 North (Whitney Avenue). Go for 0.75 miles and make a left onto Sherman Avenue. The sports center is approx. 0.25 miles on the right, across from a hiking/bike trail and its parking lot.
-- From Rte. 15 (Merritt Parkway): Take exit 61, Route 10 North (Whitney Avenue). Go for 2.7 miles and turn left onto Sherman Avenue. The sports center is approx. 0.25 miles on the right across from a hiking/bike trail and its parking lot

Tailgating Policies
We are committed to creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all fans, both in our venues and in the parking lots you're responsible for your conduct
Quinnipiac event staff, parking staff, security staff and law-enforcement will enforce all policies. All guests belongings including vehicles are subject to search by staff. Persons visibly under the influence or impaired will not be admitted into the tailgate areas or the Quinnipiac Stadiums. Quinnipiac University reserves the right to alter and interpret regulations describe below.
Hours of operation
- Parking lot open 3 hours prior to competition
- Parking spaces are limited and tailgating must be confined to a small area behind each vehicle
- Traffic aisles and parking spaces cannot be blocked at any time. Spectators wishing to park together must enter lot at the same time.
- Box trucks are not permitted
- Upon departing, you are expected to clean up your parking spot. Bring trash bags with you to deposit of trash. Neatly tied trash bags can be left or taken two dumpsters located throughout the parking lot areas. Please refrain from leaving loose trash and litter in the parking areas.
Activities and equipment
The following items and activities are allowed in parking lot
- Gas grills with a maximum propane cylinder size of 20 lbs
- Single table pop-up tents and or tailgate chairs that do not block parking spots and or drive aisles.
The following items and activities are not allowed in parking lot
- Consumption of alcohol beverages by persons even of legal drinking age is not permitted, in conformance with Connecticut state laws, Hamden ordinances, and university policies.
- Underage drinking
- Open fires fueled by charcoal, wood, or other combustible materials of any kind
- Amplified music
- Couches or other large furniture items
- No electric or gas generators
