National-ranked No. 3/2 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey resumes ECAC Hockey play when it travels to No. 10 Yale on Friday, Dec. 4 and Brown on Saturday, Dec. 5. The Bobcats and Bulldogs match-up can be seen live on American Sports Network, as well as SNY, NESN Plus and MASN where available and is set for 6:30 p.m. puck drop. The Last Time Quinnipiac Played
• Quinnipiac extended its unbeaten streak to 15 games to open up the 2015-16 season after it swept a home-and-home series with the Massachusetts Minutemen, winning the Nov. 27 match-up in Amherst, 4-1, before shutting out the Minutemen on Nov. 28, 1-0.
• On Friday night, Sam Anas became the 37th player in Quinnipiac history, and the 23rd in QU's Division I history, to reach the 100-point mark, doing so in his 92nd career game, after scoring once and assisting on two more goals in the Bobcats 4-1 win at UMass.
• Landon Smith (Greenwood Village, Colorado) and Alex Miner-Barron (Glendora, California) each had two-point games with a goal and an assist at UMass on Nov. 27 while Andrew Taverner (Edmonton, Alberta) and Scott Davidson (Trail, British Columbia) also added goals over the weekend.
• Over the weekend, Michael Garteig (Prince George, British Columbia) picked up his 59th career victory to tie the program record for career victories, tied with Jamie Holden '05 and J.C. Wells '01. Garteig recorded his league-leading 13th win of the season and fourth shutout, and ranks second with a 1.28 GAA and .946 save percentage. The Bobcats' netminder stopped 45 of the 46 shots he faced, allowing just one goal over the weekend.

Michael Garteig Named HCA Player of the Month
• Quinnipiac senior goalie Michael Garteig (Prince George, British Columbia) was honored by the Hockey Commisioners' Association as the NCAA Division I National Player of the Month for November. The announcement from the HCA came after Garteig was named ECAC Hockey's Goalie of the Month for the second-consecutive month.
• Garteig is the fourth Quinnipiac men's ice hockey player to be honored with a monthly award all-time, joining Sam Anas in Nov. 2013, Dan Clarke in Nov. 2009 and Ben Nelson, who was named HCA Rookie of the Month in Feb. 2005.
Michael Garteig Named ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Month
• Quinnipiac men's ice hockey senior Michael Garteig (Prince George, British Columbia) was named the ECAC Hockey November Goalie of the Month, as announced by the league office on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015.
• The honor is Garteig's second consecutive monthly award, after earning the honor in October, and also the fifth monthly award of his career. Garteig previously earned the honor as junior in 2014-15 for the month of December and also as a sophomore in 2013-14 in October and November.
• In nine games for the month of November, Michael Garteig led all ECAC Hockey goalies in games played (9) minutes (528:51), wins (7) and shutouts (2) while posting a 7-0-2 record.
• Garteig allowed just 11 goals for the month for a 1.25 goals-against average while posting a .946 save percentage.
• He was the only ECAC Hockey goalie that appeared in six or more league games to post an undefeated record (4-0-2) while he also registered a 1.62 GAA and a .933 save percentage against the league.
• Garteig stopped 25 of 26 in a 1-1 tie against Clarkson before blanking St. Lawrence in a 36-save performance that saw him featured on ESPN Sports Centers Top 10 as the No. 4 play of the day.
• In a 1-0 win against UMass, Gartied won his 59th career game, tying the program record held by JC Wells '01 and Jamie Holden '05. He enters the weekend with a career record of 59-21-11.
The Bobcats In The National Polls
• The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team maintained their ranking from the previous week in the USCHO.com poll, slotting into the No. 3 spot with six first-place votes on Nov. 30, 2015.
• The Bobcats were ranked No. 2 in the latest USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine College Hockey Poll in the seventh week of the poll, with 11 first-place votes.
The Bobcats In The PairWise Ranking
• Quinnipiac enters the week in the top spot in the PairWise Ranking.
• The PairWise Ranking is a system which attempts to mimic the method used by the NCAA Selection Committee to determine participants for the NCAA Division I men's hockey tournament. The PWR compares all teams by these criteria: record against common opponents, head-to-head competition, and the RPI.
• For each comparison won, a team receives one point. The final PWR ranking is based on the number of points (comparisons) won. Ties are settled by the RPI.
The Bobcats vs. Yale
All-Time Against Yale
• Quinnipiac and Yale have faced each other 24 times with the Bobcats holding a 13-6-5 advantage in the all-time series.
• The Bobcats 3-0-2 in the last five meetings between the two teams and 6-1-3 in the last 10 games against the Bulldogs.
• Quinnipiac's only loss in the last 10 meetings against Yale came in the 2013 NCAA National Championship Game.
• The Bobcats are 5-3-1 all-time against the Bulldogs at Ingalls Rink, and are riding a four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1) against Yale on their home ice with their last loss in New Haven coming on Nov. 6, 2011.

• The Bulldogs are coming off a 4-3 loss to nationally-ranked No. 1 Providence on Saturday, Nov. 28 and are 2-2-1 in their last five games.
• Yale senior Stu Wilson currently leads the Bulldogs in assists (6) and points (8) while freshman Joe Snively and sophomore Ryan Hitchcock have each scored a team-high four goals to date.
• In goal, Alex Lyon is 5-2-2 with a .937 save percentage and a 1.62 GAA.

• Quinnipiac and Brown have faced each other 28 times with the Bobcats holding a 15-7-6 advantage since the first time the two teams met on Jan. 6, 2006.

• Brown has lost once in their last five games (1-0-4) and are coming off a 5-5 tie against UMass Lowell in the Friendship Four Tournament in Belfast, Ireland. The River Hawks won that game in a shoot-out for the tournament championship.
• Senior Nick Lappin currently leads Brown in goals (6), assists (9) and points (15), while freshman Tommy Marchin has tied Lappin's goal output while adding six assists for 12 points. Senior Mark Naclerio has tallied four goals and six assists to give Brown three double-digit scorers. Naclerio is Brown active career leader in assists (56) and points (91) as well as game's played (107).
• In goal, Tim Ernst is 2-3-3 with a 2.79 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage.
The Bobcats' Streak
• The Bobcats 15-game unbeaten streak is the second longest unbeaten streak in program history, after going on a 21 game unbeaten streak in the 2012-13 season.
• Quinnipiac's 15-game unbeaten streak to start the season is the longest in NCAA Division I men's ice hockey since Colorado College opened the 1995-96 at 15-0-3.
Team Notes
• Through 15 games, Quinnipiac has out-scored its opponents 58-21, with four goals in 11 of its 13 games.
• 26 of Quinnipiac's 58 goals have come in the second period, of which the Bobcats have out-scored their opponents, 26-10.
• Quinnipiac has allowed just one goal after the second period to date.
• 32 of Quinnipiac's 58 goals have come in the final 10 minutes of the period.

In that span, Garteig was 3-0-2 with 0.83 GAA after allowing just four goals in 289:44 between the pipes and also posted a .965 save percentage after stopping 109 of 113 shots-on-goal. Two of the four goals allowed by Garteig came with the Bobcats' playing a man-down.
• For his career, Garteig is 59-21-11 with a 1.87 GAA and a .914 save percentage in 5,569:53 minutes over 96 career games.
• Garteig currently leads all NCAA Division I goalies in wins (13), while ranking tied for third in shutouts (4), fifth in GAA (1.28) and eighth in save percentage (.946).
• Garteig is one of four players in NCAA Division I men's ice hockey to log 99% or higher of his team's total minutes in goal, of those teams with 10 or more games played.
• Garteig recorded a career-best 41-save shutout of St. Cloud State on Oct. 25.
• Garteig was named the ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week on Oct. 27.
• He was also named the ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Month for October.
• The senior goalie's 13th career shutout against Maine also made him the fifth goalie in Quinnipiac history to reach 50 career wins. He joined J.C. Wells (59), Jamie Holden (59), Bud Fisher (58) and Eric Hartzell (58).
• Garteig was named to the Mike Richter Award Watch List on Thursday, Oct. 8. The award is given annually to the top NCAA Division I goalie in the country.
• To date, Garteig ranks fourth among active NCAA Division I goals with a 1.87 career goals-against average, but is the only one of the top five with more than 1,231 minutes in goal.
• Garteig's 59 wins rank first among all active goalies.
• In 10 home games this season, Garteig is 8-0-2 with a 0.89 goals-against average and a .966 save percentage.
Travis St. Denis
• Senior assistant captain Travis St. Denis (Trail, British Columbia) enters the weekend with eight goals and eight assists for 16 points in 15 games.
• St. Denis also ranks among the national leaders with five power play goals for the year.
• Heading into this weekend, the senior forward enters the weekend with 46 goals and 46 assists for 92 points in 134 career games.
• Among all NCAA Division I men's ice hockey student-athletes, St. Denis ranks tied for 13th in career goals (46) and 11th in career power play goals (15). He is also one of just 14 players in the country with 45 or more career goals.
Sam Anas
• With a three-point night against UMass on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2015 All-American Sam Anas (Potomac, Maryland) became the 37th player in program history and the 23rd at the Division I level to reach 100 career points. Anas did so in his 92nd career game.
• Anas is currently one of 10 active players with 100 career points, and the only one with fewer than 100 games played.
• Anas' 1.08 points-per-game are the third-best average among active NCAA Division I players, trailing Northeastern's Kevin Roy (1.15) and Harvard's Jimmy Vesey (1.09).
• To date, Anas leads Quinnipiac in goals (9) and points (18) through the Bobcats first 15 games of the year.
• Anas has tallied a point in 11 of Quinnipiac's first 15 games.
• Against Harvard on Friday, Nov. 13, Anas became the 17th Quinnipiac player all-time and 11th player at the NCAA Division I level to score 50 goals, doing so in 87 games.
• Anas is the Bobcats' active leading scorer with 54 goals and 46 assists for 100 points in 93 career games.
• Anas ranks fifth among active players with 54 career goals while his 0.58 goal-per-game average is second to Vesey (0.61).
• Anas currently ranks second among active players with 23 career power play goals.
• In 2015, Anas is one of two NCAA Division I men's ice hockey juniors – along with Omaha's Jake Guentzel – to rank in the Top 20 in career points and is the only junior in the Top 10.
Tim Clifton
• Quinnipiac junior Tim Clifton (Matawan, New Jersey) enters the weekend with eight goals and four assists for 12 points in 11 games. Clifton's 12 points rank third in the Bobcats' line-up.
• Clifton's five goals and six points in six ECAC Hockey games are both team-highs.
• Five of Clifton's eight goals this year have come on the power play. He enters the weekend as one of nine NCAA Division I players to score a nation-leading five power play goals this year.
• Clifton's seven-game goal streak was the second longest in Quinnipiac's Division I history following Chris Cerrella's 11-game goal streak in 1999-00.
• Clifton scored in both games of the Bobcats' season-opening weekend against Holy Cross before missing the next four games to injury. Since returning, he's scored in each of the Bobcats last four games, totaling five goals and an assist.
Connor Clifton
• Bobcats junior defenseman Connor Clifton (Matawan, New Jersey) has blown past his 2014-15 point totals (0-5), accumulating three goals and six assists for nine points in the first 15 games of the year.
• Clifton saw a six-game point streak – the longest of his career - fall with a scoreless showing against Harvard. Clifton scored an empty-net goal against Dartmouth and again against UConn to give him a point in eight of Quinnipiac's first 13 games.
• Clifton had an assist in a 3-2 win against Colgate on Friday, Nov. 13 before scoring the game-winner in overtime against Cornell in a 5-4 win in Ithaca, New York.
• Clifton also leads the Bobcats with a +10, while he has been to the penalty box just four times in 13 games. Entering the season, he had piled up 54 penalties in 74 games through his first two seasons.
• Clifton was chosen in the 5th Round of the 2013 NHL Draft by the Phoenix Coyotes.
• He was the first Quinnipiac freshman to join the Bobcats directly from the prestigious U.S. National Developmental Team.
Chase Priskie
• Quickly making a name for himself, freshman defenseman Chase Priskie (Pembroke Pines, Florida) has passed out a team-leading 11 assists, while also scoring once, for 12 points through his first 12 career games.
• Priskie's 11 assists rank second among all NCAA Division I freshmen.
• Priskie currently leads all NCAA Division I freshmen in power play assists (7) and power play points (8).
• Priskie had assists against Harvard and Dartmouth, which followed a three-assist outing against Cornell to give him six in his last six games.
• The last freshman with three assists in a game was Sam Anas at Colgate on Nov. 1, 2013.
• The last Quinnipiac defenseman with three assists in a game was Zach Tolkinen against UMass on Nov. 30, 2013.
Derek Smith
• Derek Smith checks in with nine assists from the blue line. The Bobcats' junior defenseman saw a four-game point streak end at Colgate but has dished out five assists in his last six games.
• Smith totaled 13 assists in 36 games as a sophomore last year but sits second in the Bobcats' line-up with nine helpers.
• Smith sits in the Bobcats' history books as the first player in program history to have scored on his first two shots on goal, which came in his second and third collegiate games.

The Last Time Quinnipiac Played
• Quinnipiac extended its unbeaten streak to 15 games to open up the 2015-16 season after it swept a home-and-home series with the Massachusetts Minutemen, winning the Nov. 27 match-up in Amherst, 4-1, before shutting out the Minutemen on Nov. 28, 1-0.
• On Friday night, Sam Anas became the 37th player in Quinnipiac history, and the 23rd in QU's Division I history, to reach the 100-point mark, doing so in his 92nd career game, after scoring once and assisting on two more goals in the Bobcats 4-1 win at UMass.
• Landon Smith (Greenwood Village, Colorado) and Alex Miner-Barron (Glendora, California) each had two-point games with a goal and an assist at UMass on Nov. 27 while Andrew Taverner (Edmonton, Alberta) and Scott Davidson (Trail, British Columbia) also added goals over the weekend.
• Over the weekend, Michael Garteig (Prince George, British Columbia) picked up his 59th career victory to tie the program record for career victories, tied with Jamie Holden '05 and J.C. Wells '01. Garteig recorded his league-leading 13th win of the season and fourth shutout, and ranks second with a 1.28 GAA and .946 save percentage. The Bobcats' netminder stopped 45 of the 46 shots he faced, allowing just one goal over the weekend.

Michael Garteig Named HCA Player of the Month
• Quinnipiac senior goalie Michael Garteig (Prince George, British Columbia) was honored by the Hockey Commisioners' Association as the NCAA Division I National Player of the Month for November. The announcement from the HCA came after Garteig was named ECAC Hockey's Goalie of the Month for the second-consecutive month.
• Garteig is the fourth Quinnipiac men's ice hockey player to be honored with a monthly award all-time, joining Sam Anas in Nov. 2013, Dan Clarke in Nov. 2009 and Ben Nelson, who was named HCA Rookie of the Month in Feb. 2005.
Michael Garteig Named ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Month
• Quinnipiac men's ice hockey senior Michael Garteig (Prince George, British Columbia) was named the ECAC Hockey November Goalie of the Month, as announced by the league office on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015.
• The honor is Garteig's second consecutive monthly award, after earning the honor in October, and also the fifth monthly award of his career. Garteig previously earned the honor as junior in 2014-15 for the month of December and also as a sophomore in 2013-14 in October and November.
• In nine games for the month of November, Michael Garteig led all ECAC Hockey goalies in games played (9) minutes (528:51), wins (7) and shutouts (2) while posting a 7-0-2 record.
• Garteig allowed just 11 goals for the month for a 1.25 goals-against average while posting a .946 save percentage.
• He was the only ECAC Hockey goalie that appeared in six or more league games to post an undefeated record (4-0-2) while he also registered a 1.62 GAA and a .933 save percentage against the league.
• Garteig stopped 25 of 26 in a 1-1 tie against Clarkson before blanking St. Lawrence in a 36-save performance that saw him featured on ESPN Sports Centers Top 10 as the No. 4 play of the day.
• In a 1-0 win against UMass, Gartied won his 59th career game, tying the program record held by JC Wells '01 and Jamie Holden '05. He enters the weekend with a career record of 59-21-11.

• The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team maintained their ranking from the previous week in the USCHO.com poll, slotting into the No. 3 spot with six first-place votes on Nov. 30, 2015.
• The Bobcats were ranked No. 2 in the latest USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine College Hockey Poll in the seventh week of the poll, with 11 first-place votes.
The Bobcats In The PairWise Ranking
• Quinnipiac enters the week in the top spot in the PairWise Ranking.
• The PairWise Ranking is a system which attempts to mimic the method used by the NCAA Selection Committee to determine participants for the NCAA Division I men's hockey tournament. The PWR compares all teams by these criteria: record against common opponents, head-to-head competition, and the RPI.
• For each comparison won, a team receives one point. The final PWR ranking is based on the number of points (comparisons) won. Ties are settled by the RPI.
The Bobcats vs. Yale
All-Time Against Yale
• Quinnipiac and Yale have faced each other 24 times with the Bobcats holding a 13-6-5 advantage in the all-time series.
• The Bobcats 3-0-2 in the last five meetings between the two teams and 6-1-3 in the last 10 games against the Bulldogs.
• Quinnipiac's only loss in the last 10 meetings against Yale came in the 2013 NCAA National Championship Game.
• The Bobcats are 5-3-1 all-time against the Bulldogs at Ingalls Rink, and are riding a four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1) against Yale on their home ice with their last loss in New Haven coming on Nov. 6, 2011.

• Yale senior Stu Wilson currently leads the Bulldogs in assists (6) and points (8) while freshman Joe Snively and sophomore Ryan Hitchcock have each scored a team-high four goals to date.
• In goal, Alex Lyon is 5-2-2 with a .937 save percentage and a 1.62 GAA.

• Quinnipiac and Brown have faced each other 28 times with the Bobcats holding a 15-7-6 advantage since the first time the two teams met on Jan. 6, 2006.

Senior Mark Naclerio has tallied four goals and six assists to give Brown three double-digit scorers. The Bobcats' Streak
• The Bobcats 15-game unbeaten streak is the second longest unbeaten streak in program history, after going on a 21 game unbeaten streak in the 2012-13 season.
• Quinnipiac's 15-game unbeaten streak to start the season is the longest in NCAA Division I men's ice hockey since Colorado College opened the 1995-96 at 15-0-3.

• Garteig currently leads all NCAA Division I goalies in wins (13), while ranking tied for third in shutouts (4), fifth in GAA (1.28) and eighth in save percentage (.946).
• Garteig is one of four players in NCAA Division I men's ice hockey to log 99% or higher of his team's total minutes in goal, of those teams with 10 or more games played.
• Garteig recorded a career-best 41-save shutout of St. Cloud State on Oct. 25.
• Garteig was named the ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week on Oct. 27.

Travis St. Denis
• Senior assistant captain Travis St. Denis (Trail, British Columbia) enters the weekend with eight goals and eight assists for 16 points in 15 games.
• St. Denis also ranks among the national leaders with five power play goals for the year.
• Heading into this weekend, the senior forward enters the weekend with 46 goals and 46 assists for 92 points in 134 career games.
• Among all NCAA Division I men's ice hockey student-athletes, St. Denis ranks tied for 13th in career goals (46) and 11th in career power play goals (15). He is also one of just 14 players in the country with 45 or more career goals.
Sam Anas
• With a three-point night against UMass on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2015 All-American Sam Anas (Potomac, Maryland) became the 37th player in program history and the 23rd at the Division I level to reach 100 career points. Anas did so in his 92nd career game.
• Anas is currently one of 10 active players with 100 career points, and the only one with fewer than 100 games played.
• Anas' 1.08 points-per-game are the third-best average among active NCAA Division I players, trailing Northeastern's Kevin Roy (1.15) and Harvard's Jimmy Vesey (1.09).
• To date, Anas leads Quinnipiac in goals (9) and points (18) through the Bobcats first 15 games of the year.
• Anas has tallied a point in 11 of Quinnipiac's first 15 games.
• Against Harvard on Friday, Nov. 13, Anas became the 17th Quinnipiac player all-time and 11th player at the NCAA Division I level to score 50 goals, doing so in 87 games.
• Anas is the Bobcats' active leading scorer with 54 goals and 46 assists for 100 points in 93 career games.
• Anas ranks fifth among active players with 54 career goals while his 0.58 goal-per-game average is second to Vesey (0.61).
• Anas currently ranks second among active players with 23 career power play goals.
• In 2015, Anas is one of two NCAA Division I men's ice hockey juniors – along with Omaha's Jake Guentzel – to rank in the Top 20 in career points and is the only junior in the Top 10.
Tim Clifton
• Quinnipiac junior Tim Clifton (Matawan, New Jersey) enters the weekend with eight goals and four assists for 12 points in 11 games. Clifton's 12 points rank third in the Bobcats' line-up.
• Clifton's five goals and six points in six ECAC Hockey games are both team-highs.
• Five of Clifton's eight goals this year have come on the power play. He enters the weekend as one of nine NCAA Division I players to score a nation-leading five power play goals this year.
• Clifton's seven-game goal streak was the second longest in Quinnipiac's Division I history following Chris Cerrella's 11-game goal streak in 1999-00.
• Clifton scored in both games of the Bobcats' season-opening weekend against Holy Cross before missing the next four games to injury. Since returning, he's scored in each of the Bobcats last four games, totaling five goals and an assist.
Connor Clifton
• Bobcats junior defenseman Connor Clifton (Matawan, New Jersey) has blown past his 2014-15 point totals (0-5), accumulating three goals and six assists for nine points in the first 15 games of the year.
• Clifton saw a six-game point streak – the longest of his career - fall with a scoreless showing against Harvard. Clifton scored an empty-net goal against Dartmouth and again against UConn to give him a point in eight of Quinnipiac's first 13 games.
• Clifton had an assist in a 3-2 win against Colgate on Friday, Nov. 13 before scoring the game-winner in overtime against Cornell in a 5-4 win in Ithaca, New York.
• Clifton also leads the Bobcats with a +10, while he has been to the penalty box just four times in 13 games. Entering the season, he had piled up 54 penalties in 74 games through his first two seasons.
• Clifton was chosen in the 5th Round of the 2013 NHL Draft by the Phoenix Coyotes.
• He was the first Quinnipiac freshman to join the Bobcats directly from the prestigious U.S. National Developmental Team.
Chase Priskie
• Quickly making a name for himself, freshman defenseman Chase Priskie (Pembroke Pines, Florida) has passed out a team-leading 11 assists, while also scoring once, for 12 points through his first 12 career games.
• Priskie's 11 assists rank second among all NCAA Division I freshmen.
• Priskie currently leads all NCAA Division I freshmen in power play assists (7) and power play points (8).
• Priskie had assists against Harvard and Dartmouth, which followed a three-assist outing against Cornell to give him six in his last six games.
• The last freshman with three assists in a game was Sam Anas at Colgate on Nov. 1, 2013.
• The last Quinnipiac defenseman with three assists in a game was Zach Tolkinen against UMass on Nov. 30, 2013.
Derek Smith
• Derek Smith checks in with nine assists from the blue line. The Bobcats' junior defenseman saw a four-game point streak end at Colgate but has dished out five assists in his last six games.
• Smith totaled 13 assists in 36 games as a sophomore last year but sits second in the Bobcats' line-up with nine helpers.
• Smith sits in the Bobcats' history books as the first player in program history to have scored on his first two shots on goal, which came in his second and third collegiate games.
