No. 7 Bobcats Drop Game 1 of ECAC Quarterfinals

HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 7 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program fell in game one of the 2026 ECAC Men's Hockey Championship quarterfinals by a 3-0 final to the eighth-seeded Clarkson Golden Knights.
After a scoreless first, Bryce Sookro gave the Golden Knights the lead for good at the 2:56 mark of the second with a rip from the point that beat Quinnipiac netminder Dylan Silverstein.
Silverstein was otherwise great, stopping 32 of 33 shots on his cage including 27 in the first 40 minutes of the contest. The Golden Knights added a pair of empty netters to bolster their scoreline.
STATS AND NOTES
Game 2 in the ECAC Quarterfinals will be Saturday, when the Bobcats and Golden Knights meet at 4 p.m., at M&T Bank Arena.
A Quinnipiac win would mean a Game 3, while a Golden Knights victory would eliminate Quinnipiac from the ECAC Tournament.

- Victor Czerneckianair and Markus Vidicek each finished with double-digit wins at the faceoff dot, with Czerneckianair going 11-7 and Vidicek going 10-7.
