ECAC Hockey Releases 2026-27 Conference Slate
6/11/2026 12:00:00 PM | Men's Ice Hockey
HAMDEN, Conn. — ECAC Hockey and the Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program announced the 22-game league slate for the 2026-27 athletic season that begins on Nov. 5 for the Bobcats.
Quinnipiac has won six consecutive ECAC regular season championships and earned seven consecutive berths to the NCAA Tournament, both of which are the longest active streak in the country. The Bobcats are coming off their fifth NCAA Regional Final in the last seven years, tied for Denver for the most in the country over that span.
Rand Pecknold's club opens the ECAC league in the Southern Tier, taking on Cornell and Colgate on Nov. 6 and 7. The Bobcats swept that road weekend for the first time since 2018 this past season.
The home-opening weekend in ECAC play welcomes two high-profile opponents to town with former Bobcat Reid Cashman bringing Dartmouth in for Nov. 13 and Harvard following a night later on Nov. 14.
A road matchup with Princeton awaits the Sunday after Thanksgiving on Nov. 29 before a home series with St. Lawrence and Clarkson wraps up the first half of the year.
The second half begins at Harvard and Dartmouth on Jan. 8 and 9 before they welcome Colgate and Cornell on Jan. 15 and 16 to Hamden.
Three games in five days await after that, with road trips to Brown and Yale on Jan. 22 and 23 before hosting Princeton on Jan. 26.
February begins with a pair of home games as RPI and Union come to Hamden on Feb. 5 and 6 before four consecutive on the road at Clarkson and St. Lawrence Feb. 12 and 13 and then at Union and RPI on Feb. 19 and 20.
The regular season concludes with the highly-anticipated Yale matchup on Feb. 26 before Brown on Feb. 27.
Bobcat returns a lot of its production from the 2025-26 season, including 2026 Tim Taylor National Rookie of the Year Ethan Wyttenbach and unanimous First Team All-ECAC selection Elliott Groenewold. They also return a pair of 35-point rising sophomores in Markus Vidicek and Antonin Verreault, the latter of whom was an All-Rookie and Second Team All-ECAC selection.
