No. 6 Quinnipiac Uses Balanced Scoring to Defeat Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. — The No. 6 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program extended its unbeaten streak to four games on Tuesday night, knocking off Holy Cross 4-1 at the Hart Center Rink.
The Bobcats used a pair of power play goals and a pair of tallies at even strength to give them their second consecutive victory.
Markus Vidicek started the scoring on the power play, adding a tally at the 5:01 mark of the period off a great feed form Nate Tivey. Matthew Lansing capped the period with a strike with just under 17 seconds left to make it a 2-0 advantage.
After Holy Cross cut into the deficit in the second, Graham Sward and Jeremy Wilmer each potted a goal at the midway point of the second and third period, respectively to give the Bobcats all they would need.
Matej Marinov got the start in net, making 26 saves on 27 shots on net.

The Bobcats head into a Hockey East road weekend coming up, taking on Merrimack on Friday night before trekking to New Hampshire for a Saturday night affair.
