NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — The No. 6 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program was defeated in a road non-conference matchup on Friday night, ending up on the wrong end of a 4-1 scoreline against Merrimack.
The two teams split goals in the opening period, with Chris Pelosi's deflection in front canceling out a Merrimack goal to open the proceedings.
The Warriors were able to fire back, scoring one in the second and two more in the third to take control on their home ice.
The Bobcats fall to 4-2-1 on the year while Merrimack jumps to 3-1-0.

The Bobcats return to action on Saturday night, taking on another Hockey East foe in New Hampshire at 7 p.m. at the Whittemore Center in Durham, N.H.

- Ethan Wyttenbach extended his point streak to seven games to begin his collegiate career, the second-longest such streak in the country.
- Pelosi added his third goal of the year and has points in five of the first seven games to begin the year.
- Markus Vidicek also has points in five of seven to begin his collegiate campaign, including four of his last five outings.
- Victor Czerneckianair had his best outing to date at the faceoff dot, finishing a season-best 10-2 (.833).
