First Year Phenoms
- The first-year class of the Bobcats has been its most productive in the first six games of the year, making an instant offensive impact, leading the team in goals and points and is tied in total assists.
- Led by Ethan Wyttenbach's four and Markus Vidicek's three, the 13 goals from the class lead the team and the Bobcats are one of five teams in the country with two or more first year skaters with three or more tallies to begin the game.
- The Bobcat debutants also have compiled 26 of the Bobcats' 66 points on the year.
Moto Moto
- After a 3-goal first period for Maine on Friday night, junior netminder Matej Marinov locked in en route to his MAC Goaltending ECAC Goalie of the Week honor.
- He stopped 29 of his final 30 shots against, including an 18-save shutout on Saturday to ensure an unbeaten weekend for the Bobcats. He also made a pair of standout stops in the shootout on Friday night, ending the comeback on a high that saw the Bobcats erase a 4-1 deficit.
- He followed that up with a 26-save performance on Tuesday night at Holy Cross, the most by a Bobcat netminder this season.
WYTTER, WYTTER, CHICKEN DINNER
- Ethan Wyttenbach is off to a flying start for the Bobcats, recording points in all six of his appearances to begin his first collegiate season.
- He is the only first year player in the country to record points in each of his first six games and owns the second-longest active points streak in the country.
SEVENTH HEAVEN
- Quinnipiac poured in seven goals against Notre Dame on Saturday afternoon, rebounding from a one-goal effort the previous night against a stingy Alaska defense.
- It is the first time this season they have eclipsed the number, joining five other teams that have hit the mark this season.
- Over the last five years, the Bobcats have totaled seven or more goals in 16 games, the third-most in the country behind Boston University and Michigan during that span.
BREAKING THE ICE (AGAIN)
- Quinnipiac went back to its second IceBreaker Tournament this past weekend, taking on Alaska Fairbanks and then either Arizona State or Notre Dame at Mullett Arena, home of the Sun Devils.
- The Bobcats played in the 2021 version of the tournament, held at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass., tying Boston College before dropping the shootout in the semifinal contest. They shut out Northeastern to earn a split on the weekend.
