Brind'Amour, Lipkin Find the Net as ECAC Winning Streak Stretches to Seven
12/2/2022 10:42:00 PM | Men's Ice Hockey
HAMDEN, Conn. — Sam Lipkin and Skyler Brind'Amour both found the net on the man advantage, propelling the No. 2/4 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program to its seventh consecutive ECAC win to start league play, a 2-1 defeat of St. Lawrence on Friday night in front of 3,410 fans at M&T Bank Arena.
Brind'Amour's second in two games came as he crashed the net, tipping in Lipkin's feed to the crease to give Quinnipiac all it would need to keep them atop the league standings with three games left before the holiday break.
The center almost had a goal similar to that earlier in the period, but it was saved by the leg pad and eventually cycled to Collin Graf, who's shot was saved but the puck slid right to Lipkin who slotted it home to start the scoring on the night.
Yaniv Perets made multiple big saves on the night, getting his stick to this deflection late to ice the victory. He would finish with 16 saves on the night.
