Second Period Surge Helps No. 2/4 Bobcats Extend Unbeaten Streak to 11

HAMDEN, Conn. — Entering the second period down by a goal to visiting Clarkson, the No. 2/4 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team surged ahead, scoring the game's next four goals en route to a 6-3 victory over the Golden Knights on Saturday night at M&T Bank Arena.
Cipollone's tally was the third in the 4-0 run for the Bobcats, capping the score in the second frame and proving to be the game-winning tally.
CJ McGee started the scoring, potting a rebound after Skyler Brind'Amour deflected a shot in front to give the Bobcats' a 1-0 lead.
After Clarkson scored the next two to take a 2-1 lead into the intermission, the hosts scored five of the next six to secure the home sweep.
Quinnipiac's unbeaten streak extends to a nation-best 11 with the victory and remain perfect at 8-0-0 in ECAC Hockey play as it enters the final weekend before the holiday break.

- Brind'Amour recorded his second consecutive multi-point outing, recording a goal and an assist. He has three on the year and 12 for his career, tied for third-most on the team.
- Quinnipiac matched its season-high for goals in a contest, scoring six tonight. They also hit that number at No. 3 North Dakota on Oct. 15 and at Maine on Oct. 23.
- Friedmann finished off his eighth, multi-point contest of his career with a goal and assist tonight. It is his third of the 2022-23 campaign.
- The Bobcats are 21-1-2 in their last 24 home games in Hamden and are winners of their last five at M&T Bank Arena.
