Petruzzelli is the second goaltender in program history to record three consecutive shutouts after Michael Garteig '16 in 2015-16, and Petruzzelli ran his shutout streak to 188:27 dating back to Jan. 9 against Clarkson.

SCORING SUMMARY
- (2:52, 1st period) – Quinnipiac 1, Colgate 0: Smilanic showed off some excellent hand-eye coordination early in the first period as Iivari Räsänen (Tampere, Finland) fired a shot from the left point and Smilanic was camped in front to tip the puck off the post and into the net past Colgate goaltender Carter Gylander.
- (12:30, 2nd period) – Quinnipiac 2, Colgate 0: The Bobcats picked off a pass in the defensive zone and Guus van Nes (Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, Netherlands) carried the puck out before hitting Smilanic with a pass on his right. Smilanic then hit Tufto in the middle before going back to van Nes on the left wing. van Nes passed it through the slot to Smilanic on the right side, where he hesitated before sniping a shot over Gylander's blocker.
- (19:28.6, 2nd period – PP) – Quinnipiac 3, Colgate 0: Skyler Brind'Amour (Raleigh, North Carolina) won a faceoff in the left circle and Ethan Leyh (Anmore, British Columbia) slid it back to Bochen above the circle. Bochen skated into the slot and wristed the shot through traffic past Gylander's blocker to triple the lead.
