
Women's Ice Hockey Set to Host St. Lawrence, No. 5/5 Clarkson

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac women's hockey team returns home to host the St. Lawrence Saints and No. 5/5 Clarkson Nov. 22-23 at Frank Perrotti Jr. Arena. Puck drop against the Saints is set for 6 p.m., and then Bobcats will take on the Golden Knights at 3 p.m. the following day.

GAME NOTES
Last Time Out
Quinnipiac went 1-1 last weekend against the RPI Engineers and the Union Dutchwomen. The Bobcats shutout RPI, 4-0, and lost to Union, 4-2.
Four different Bobcats scored in the shutout victory against the Engineers. First-year Kenzie Hauswirth scored the game-winner in the first period from juniors Renee Saltness and Grace Markey. Juniors Brooke Bonsteel and Laura Lundblad and senior Sarah-Eve Coutu Godbout netted the other three Bobcat goals. Bonsteel finished the game with two points.
On Saturday, Nov. 16, the Bobcats faced the Union Dutchwomen, and came up short, 4-2. Hauswirth and Coutu-Godbout both scored their second goals of the weekend.
Scouting St. Lawrence
The Saints will come to Hamden with a 5-4-3 overall record and 1-1-1 ECAC record. St. Lawrence is coming off an overtime win against Syracuse on Nov. 16. Kayla Vespa leads the team with 18 points on eight goals and 10 assists. The Saints are young in the net and have played three different goalies throughout the season. Lucy Morgan has started in seven games, earning a 2-2-3 record with a 1.53 goals against average and a .937 save percentage. Caitlin Whitehead has a record of 3-1-0 and a team-low seven goals against.
All-Time Against the Saints
Quinnipiac has an all-time record of 11-18-7 against the Saints. In the 2018-19 season, the Bobcats went 0-1-1 against the Saints. The last time Quinnipiac beat St. Lawrence was March 5, 2016 in a 2-1 win.
Scouting No. 5/5 Clarkson
The Golden Knights hold a record of 10-1-3 overall and 3-0-1 in the ECAC. Clarkson played two games against Mercyhurst last weekend and won, 4-1 and 2-1. Clarkson is currently on a 10-game unbeaten streak. Elizabeth Giguere leads the team with 25 points on 14 goals and 11 assists. Marie-Pier Coulombe has played in 11 games for the Golden Knights, recording an 8-1-2 record with a 1.27 goals against average and .940 save percentage.

The Bobcats hold a 11-25-5 record against Clarkson. The last time Quinnipiac beat Clarkson was Nov. 17, 2017 in a 3-2 win in Potsdam, N.Y.
Immediate Impact
First-year Kate Reilly is tied for seventh-best in power play points with four on the season. Sadie Peart has tallied three goals and three assists for six points on the season, including a game-winner and two power play goals. In eight of the last nina games, at least one first-year has scored a goal or assisted on a goal.
Coutu-Godbout & Adzija on Fire
In the last three games, Coutu-Godbotu has scored one goal and was assisted each time by sophomore Lexie Adzija. Adzija leads the team with 10 points on three goals and seven assists. Coutu-Godbout is ranked first on the team with five goals so far this season.
Defensive Core
Quinnipiac's defensive core has allowed 23 goals this season, earning a 1.77 goals against average., which is ranked second in the ECAC. Senior Kenzie Prater lead the team with 18 blocks each, followed by junior Olivia Konigson with 16. Reilly, Prater and senior Kati Tabin are each ranked in the top ten in defenseman scoring in the ECAC. Quinnipiac and Clarkson are the only two teams to have three defensemen ranked in the top 10 in defensemen scoring.
Seniors Score
Coutu-Godbout has five goals to lead the team this season. Tabin has tallied two goals and five assists for seven points this year. Prater is sixth on the team in scoring with six points on one goal and five assists.

The Bobcats have scored 31 goals this season with 14 different Bobcats scoring at least one goal. Eight Bobcats have scored more than one goal.
Bobcats on the Power Play
Quinnipiac has scored 11 power play goals through 13 total games. In 2018-19, Quinnipiac had 13 on the season. The Bobcats' 11 power play goals are ranked second in the conference behind Clarkson's 13.
