Smith, O'Connor Each Hit Homers In Loss To Manhattan

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac Bobcats dropped the series finale to the Manhattan Jaspers, 10-3, in Hamden on Sunday afternoon.
With the loss, the Bobcats will fall to 16-23 overall and 7-8 in MAAC play, while the Jaspers will improve to 14-27 overall and 7-11 in conference play with the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Jaspers got on the scoreboard first as they brought home two runs in the bottom of the first inning to take an early lead.
The game remained 2-0 until the Jaspers extended their lead in the third inning. Manhattan got their third run of the game from a fielding error before a single to center field brought home two more runs. Manhattan made it a 7-0 game with a two-run home run in the third.
Keegan O'Connor got the Bobcats on the board in the fourth inning as he launched a solo home run to right field, making it a 7-1 game. However, Manhattan got a solo home run of their own in the fifth inning to put their lead back at seven.
With two more runs in the seventh inning from Manhattan, they made it a 10-1 game heading into the final two innings. Quinnipiac got within seven as Christian Smith hit a two-run home run to left in the eighth inning.
