Five Bobcats Named to All-MAAC Teams

HAMDEN, Conn. – Five Bobcats earned All-MAAC honors, with two being named to the All-MAAC Second Team and three earning MAAC All-Rookie team honors, as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.
Andrew Rubayo was named to the All-MAAC Second team for the first time in his collegiate career. Rubayo wrapped up his best season on the mound, finishing with a 5-2 record with a 4.34 ERA. Rubayo racked up 77 strikeouts in his senior season, which ranked first on the team and ranked second in the conference. Rubayo led the MAAC with a 4.81 strikeout-to-walk ratio and with 1.93 walks allowed per nine innings. Rubayo dominated conference play, racking up five wins and 61 strikeouts, both ranking in the top five in the MAAC.
Alex Irizarry was named to an All-MAAC team for the second time in his career, as he was named to the All-MAAC Second team. Irizarry closed out his second full season in Hamden with a .301 batting average, becoming one of three Bobcats to finish the 2026 campaign with a batting average over .300. Irizarry ranked first on the team with 40 RBIs, tied for second with 10 doubles, and third on the team with five home runs. Irizarry hit above .300 in his last two seasons in Hamden, helping him earn All-MAAC status in back-to-back seasons.
After a solid first season, Caden Williamson was named to the MAAC All-Rookie team. Williamson appeared in 50 games in his first collegiate season and finished with a .277 batting average and 17 runs batted in. The Broomfield, Colorado, native hit his first collegiate home run in the midweek contest against Rhode Island. Williamson stole ten bases in eighteen attempts in his first year in Hamden. Predominantly playing in center field, Williamson finished the year with a .990 fielding percentage and five defensive assists, which led the outfield.
Chase Camac closed out his first collegiate baseball season, earning MAAC All-Rookie team honors. Camac led all the Quinnipiac first years with a .279 batting average and ranked second among Bobcat rookies with 24 RBIs. Camac started 38 contests and appeared in 44 games in his first season of collegiate baseball. Camac was solid in the outfield all season for the Bobcats, finishing the year with a .989 fielding percentage in 90 chances this year.
After a great season on the mound, Jacob Belecky was voted to the MAAC All-Rookie team by coaches in the conference. In his first season in Hamden, Belecky pitched to a 2-3 record in 15 appearances, with seven of those being starts. Belecky recorded 30 strikeouts in 39.0 innings pitched, the most strikeouts among the first years on the Quinnipiac pitching staff. Belecky closed out his first season with a 1.62 WHIP and a 6.69 ERA, earning him All-Rookie honors.
Quinnipiac also placed 16 student-athletes on the MAAC All-Academic Team. To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
