Baseball Adds Ryan Caulfield to Coaching Staff

Hamden, Conn. – Quinnipiac Baseball Head Coach John Delaney has announced the addition of Ryan Caulfield to his staff on Thursday, August 27th. Caulfield will return to the Metro Conference after being an Assistant Coach at Merrimack last season.
Caulfield served as the Associate Head Coach of the Lowell Spinners in the team's inaugural season over the summer. The Spinners compete in the Future's League, and Caulfield was responsible for coordinating their pregame preparation, defensive positioning, and offensive deployment. Caulfield also served as the team's first base coach, while supporting player development and overall game management.
Caulfield returns to the Metro Conference after being on the Merrimack Warriors coaching staff last season. Caulfield served as the Warriors' first base coach, while assisting with recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes. During his time at Merrimack, Caulfield led outfield development and assisted with offensive development. Caulfield also organized the planning of practices, scouting reports, game preparation, and day-to-day program operations. Caulfield was part of the Merrimack staff that was recognized with the conference's Coach of the Year honors, while assisting the Warriors to the conference tournament.
Caulfield started his coaching career in May of 2025 with the New Britain Bees as an Assistant Coach. During his time with the Bees, Caulfield oversaw the team's hitting development while implementing daily hitting programs and individualized player adjustments. Caulfield and the Bees made the FCBL Championship Series for the first time in the organization's history.
Caulfield began his collegiate career at Ithaca College before transferring to Clark University, where he served as a three-time team captain and was named to the NEWMAC All-Conference team in 2023.
Caulfield graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Clark University in 2023 and earned his Master of Science in Sports Administration in 2025, also from Clark.
