#9/9 Bobcats Travel to Dartmouth, #6/6 Harvard This Weekend

HAMDEN, Conn. - The No. 9 Quinnipiac Bobcats will play on the road this weekend for two games at No. 6/6 Harvard and Dartmouth, Feb. 11-12. The Bobcats are coming off a three-game weekend at No. 10 Clarkson and St. Lawrence, posting a 1-2 record. The Bobcats have five games remaining in the regular season and are looking to finish on a high note. The Bobcats currently sit in fifth in the ECAC Hockey standings.

Last Time Out
The Bobcats traveled to No. 10 Clarkson on Friday, Feb. 4 and came away with a 2-1 win in overtime. Quinnipiac got on the board first with a power play goal scored by Taylor House. Clarkson tied the game early in the third period, but neither team could find the game-winning goal in regulation. Courtney Vorster scored the overtime game-winning goal from the point to lift the Bobcats over the Golden Knights.
On Saturday, the Bobcats faced the St. Lawrence Saints in the first of two games to be played in Canton, N.Y. St. Lawrence's Rachel Bjorgan netted the Saints' first goal on the team's first shot of the game to take a 1-0 lead. Quinnipiac tied the game with a goal from Kate Reilly late in the first period. Kristina Bahl scored the game-winner in the middle of the second period, as the Bobcats were not able to complete the comeback.
Quinnipiac and St. Lawrence faced off once more on Sunday, Feb. 7. The Saints had a massive first period, scoring three goals to take a 3-1 lead after just 20 minutes. Olivia Mobley netted Quinnipiac's lone goal, and the Saints secured the win, 5-1. The Bobcats allowed five goals against, which is the most this season since the team's 5-2 loss at Wisconsin.
Scouting Dartmouth
The Bobcats will play the Big Green on Friday, Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. Dartmouth holds an 8-15-1 overall record with a 2-14-1 ECAC Hockey record. The Big Green played just one game last weekend against Brown and came away with a 3-3 tie. Dartmouth's last win was recorded on Jan. 2 against New Hampshire.
Gabby Billing leads the Big Green with 13 points on six goals and seven assists. As a team, Dartmouth is scoring an average of 2.4 goals per game and allowing 3.3 goals against. Maggie Emerson has started in the net for the Big Green in 18 games, tallying a .887 save percentage and a 3.44 goals against average.
All-Time vs the Big Green
The Bobcats hold a 15-12-4 overall record against Dartmouth all-time. Back on Jan. 23, Quinnipiac defeated Dartmouth, 3-1, with goals from Maya Labad, Olivia Konigson and Olivia Mobley. The last time Quinnipiac played at Dartmouth was on Jan. 11, 2020, and the Bobcats came away with a 5-1 win.
Scouting No. 6/6 Harvard
The Crimson hold an 18-6 overall record with a 13-4 ECAC Hockey record. Harvard currently sits in second place in the ECAC Hockey standings with 40 points. Most recently, Harvard competed in the Beanpot Tournament and tallied two wins against Boston University and Boston College to claim the Beanpot Championship. Harvard defeated Boston College, 5-4, in the final game of the tournament. Last weekend, the Crimson faced Cornell and No. 7/8 Colgate, recording a loss and win. Colgate handed Harvard its first loss since Jan. 1 against Minnesota Duluth.
Becca Gilmore leads the Crimson with 36 points on 15 goals and 21 assists. Ten different skaters have tallied double-digit points on the team, including two skaters with over 30 points. The Crimson have had two goalies split time throughout the season with Lindsay Reed playing in six games and Becky Dutton playing in 15. Dutton played against Quinnipiac back on Jan. 22. She has tallied a 1.93 goals against average with a .925 save percentage.

Olivia Mobley and Kendall Cooper have recorded 17 points together through the last seven games. Mobley is ranked second on the team with 22 points on 12 goals and 10 assists. Cooper has tallied 18 points with four goals and 14 assists, which is good for fourth on the team.

The two Canadians have played hockey together since they were little and will look to bring their familiarity and cohesiveness to the ice on offense. Veronica Bac comes to Hamden from Huntley, Ill., and was a member of the Chicago mission team. Kate Helgeson is a forward hailing from Roseau High School in Roseau, Minn. Mallory Mauracher and Mia Lopata complete the first-year group, and come from Dublin, Ohio and Clinton, N.Y., respectively.
