Cipollone Scores Twice in Win, #2/2 Bobcats Advance to Championship Game
HAMDEN, Conn. – Senior Zach Metsa scored his second overtime game winner of the season to push #2/2 Quinnipiac to a dramatic 3-2 victory over Sacred Heart in Saturday's Connecticut Ice semifinals. The Bobcats advance to Sunday's championship game where they will take on UConn at 4:30 at Webster Bank Arena.

- Sacred Heart became just the fourth team this season to win the faceoff battle with Quinnipiac, earning a 25-20 edge at the dot.
- Metsa's game-winning goal was his second OT goal of the season and fourth game winner of his career. The defenseman has 26 points in 25 games and is tied for the most points of all blue-liners in the country.
- Cipollone tallied the first multi-goal game of his career in the win. The senior has scored 20 career goals and is approaching career bests in goals, assists, and points this season.
- Bongiovanni's two assists give him 11 for the season which sets a new career-best for the senior captain. Bongiovanni now has 23 points in 25 games and is two points shy of his best single-season output.
- Oliver Chau has recorded at least one point in 13 of his last 14 games, totaling 19 points in that stretch.
- Senior TJ Friedmann has a point in three straight games and has career highs in all three offensinve stat categories this year.
