Priskie, Martin Each Score Two Goals as Bobcats Tie Season-Best Winning Streak
PRINCETON, N.J. – Chase Priskie (Pembroke Pines, Florida) scored a pair of goals, including a power-play goal, Saturday night in his first multi-goal game of the season as the No. 9 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team completed the weekend sweep of No. 19 Princeton with a 6-3 victory.
Priskie's pair of goals were his 10th and 11th of the season while the Bobcats' captain now has six power-play goals on the season.
Craig Martin (Trail, British Columbia) also scored a pair of goals, his second two-goal game of the season, to tie Priskie for the team-lead for goals in the victory.
Luke Shiplo (Oakville, Ontario) and Michael Lombardi (Barrington, Rhode Island) also scored for the Bobcats as the offense exploded for six goals, including four in the second period.
The victory extended Quinnipiac's winning streak to six games, tied for the longest of the season and longest since the 2015-16 season.

- (17:58, 1st period) – Quinnipiac 0, Princeton 1: Princeton scored the first goal Saturday night to give Quinnipiac its first deficit since Nov. 16 at Cornell as Jackson Cressey tapped home a goal on the back door after Josh Teves skated coast-to-coast before feeding Cressey
- (1:29, 2nd period) – Quinnipiac 1, Princeton 1: The Bobcats tied the game early in the second period as Martin spun and fired the puck top shelf past Princeton goaltender Ryan Ferland off a feed from Alex Whelan (Ramsey, New Jersey) to tie the game early just before the Bobcats' power play expired.
- (2:09, 2nd period) – Quinnipiac 1, Princeton 2: Ryan Kuffner regained the lead for the Tigers just 40 seconds later as he put home his eight of the season past Quinnipiac netminder Keith Petruzzelli (Wilbraham, Massachusetts) with assist to Max Veronneau and Derek Topatigh
- (6:42, 2nd period) – Quinnipiac 2, Princeton 2: Lombardi tied the game once again for the Bobcats as he sniped a shot top shelf past Ferland after a great feed from Peter DiLiberatore (Bedford, Nova Scotia). Odeen Tufto (Chaska, Minnesota) also recorded an assist for the Bobcats after causing a turnover in the defensive zone.
- (7:17, 2nd period) – Quinnipiac 3, Princeton 2: Shiplo gave the Bobcats the lead for good near the midway point of the third period as he fired home a shot on the back door off a great backhanded feed from Tufto. Ethan de Jong (North Vancouver, British Columbia) also tallied an assist on Shiplo's goal
- (16:01, 2nd period) – Quinnipiac 4, Princeton 2: Priskie scored his first of two goals for the Bobcats on the initial face-off after starting four-on-four play. Tufto won the faceoff back to Priskie where he rifled home another goal from the top of the right faceoff circle
- (17:28, 2nd period) – Quinnipiac 4, Princeton 3: The Tigers pulled back within a goal as the Cressey scored his second of the night, and first on the power play, off a pass from Veronneau. Kuffner also tallied a helper on the goal
- (3:20, 3rd period) – Quinnipiac 5, Princeton 3: Priskie scored his second goal of the night and first on the power play. After Tufto won an offensive zone face-off, the Bobcats controlled the puck. Tufto passed the puck from the right wing to Brogan Rafferty (Dundee, Illinois) at the point who worked the puck to Priskie in the left face-off circle for the one-timer where the puck slipped through Ferland for the goal
- (12:12, 3rd period) – Quinnipiac 6, Princeton 3: Martin capped off the scoring with his second goal of the game. He sprinted out of the box as his penalty expired and DiLiberatore fired the puck up ice to lead Martin into the zone. Ferland came out to try to play the puck but Martin beat him to the puck, deked past him and tapped home the goal
- The Bobcats scored four goals in the second period, it's third four-goal period of the season after scoring four goals in both the first and third periods against AIC on Oct. 27
- Priskie recorded two goals in a game for the fifth time in his career and first time this season.
- He now leads ECAC Hockey in goals and is tied for second in the nation while his six power-play goals are also tied for the most in the nation.
- Martin tied his career-highs with two goals and three points as he scored two goals in a game for the second time this season.
- This marks Martin's first three-point game since March 11, 2017 when he had three points at St. Lawrence.
- Tufto recorded four assists for the first time in his career as he moved into second in ECAC Hockey and is tied for sixth in the nation with 14 assists
- His four points gives him 24 on the season, the most in ECAC Hockey and third-most in the nation
- Tufto has 12 points over his past four games
- Tufto extended his point streak to five games in the win
- DiLiberatore tallied two assists in a game for the second time in his career and first since Oct. 27. He now has six assists on the season
- Lombardi extended his point streak to four games as he scored his second goal of the season
- Shiplo scored his second goal of the season and second in ECAC Hockey play
- Petruzzelli tallied 27 saves in his third straight win and eighth overall win on the season
- Cukste recorded a new career-high with his 10th assist of the season
- Rafferty also picked up an assist for his 10th point of the season
- The Bobcats have seven players with at least 10 points this season
- de Jong picked up his ninth assist of the season and now has 12 points with his helper on Shiplo's goal to extend his point streak to five games
- Whelan recorded his fourth assist of the season and now has nine points
- Quinnipiac allowed a power-play goal for the first time since Nov. 16, a streak of 22 consecutive killed penalties before Cressey's goal
- The Bobcats wrap up the first half of the season next weekend against the No. 3/3 UMass Minutemen beginning Friday night at Frank Perrotti Jr. Arena with puck drop at 7 p.m. followed by a Saturday night showdown in Amherst beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday's game will be available on ESPN+ while Saturday's can be found on Eleven Sports and NESN Plus in addition to TSN and TSNGO north of the border.
