The Bobcats and Eagles first met in the 2016 Frozen Four Semifinals which Quinnipiac won, 3-2, to advance to its second National Championship game. The Bobcats won again against the Eagles at the Three Rivers Classic in Pittsburgh on Dec. 29, 2016 before last season's 1-1 tie to open up the season in Chestnut Hill.
Impressive Coaching Matchup
Head coach Rand Pecknold and Boston College head coach Jerry York have combined for 1,540 wins in their coaching careers heading into this Friday's matchup. Pecknold has won 487 games and is primed to record his 500th career win this season while York has 1,053 wins in his 46 seasons behind the bench, including the last 586 wins in the last 24 seasons with Boston College.
Great Start
