- Taylor's goal was the seventh of his career and second game-winner of his career.
- Quinnipiac's win over Saint Joseph's was the 31st of Doig's career, which places him second all-time in wins in games played. Doig's 31 wins are only second to former Quinnipiac goalkeeper Borja Angoita, who finished his career with 32 wins in games played.
- Freshmen Simon Hillinger (Ditzingen, Germany) and Paulo Soares (Quincy, Massachusetts) both made their collegiate debuts with the Bobcats in Quinnipiac's loss against B.C. on August 28.
- Eamon Whelan (New Fairfield, Connecticut) headlines the returning class for Quinnipiac as he was selected to the 2017 Preseason All-MAAC Team following a 2016 campaign that saw him tally a team-high 11 goals.
- Whelan had a big impact last year as a freshman, winning the MAAC Rookie of the Year Award. He was also a Third-Team All-Northeast Region selection by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and was named to Top Drawer Soccer's Top 100 Freshmen list.
