HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac men's soccer team opened its MAAC schedule with a 1-0 loss against in-state rival Fairfield on Wednesday afternoon at the QU Soccer Stadium.

Quinnipiac outshot Fairfield 17-6 and 8-3 in shots-on-goal.
The Bobcats held the Stags to just one shot in the second half.
Eamon Whelan (New Fairfield, Connecticut) attempted the most shots in the contest, tallying five.
