The Quinnipiac University field hockey team will host nationally-ranked No. 1 UConn in the final regular-season BIG EAST contest of the season on Friday, Oct. 27 at 3 p.m. at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Stadium in Hamden, Conn. Quinnipiac enters the game at 6-11 overall and 3-3 in the BIG EAST, while UConn is currently undefeated at 15-0 overall including a 6-0 mark in conference play.

Quinnipiac can qualify for the BIG EAST Conference tournament with a win against UConn and if Temple defeats Liberty.

The Bobcats are coming off a thrilling 3-2 overtime win at Lafayette on Monday, Oct. 23, highlighted by a hat trick from Dayna Barlow (Port Elizabeth, South Africa).
Quinnipiac Field Hockey is committed to running "Yards for Yeardley" this season.
In 2010, Yeardley Love, a women's lacrosse player at University of Virginia and a Bethesda, Md.-area native was beaten to death by her ex-boyfriend. Her story touched thousands, bringing light to the increasingly serious issue of relationship abuse.
The Yards for Yeardley project works to empower communities, especially young female athletes, to speak up and speak out against relationship abuse. The One Love Foundation encourages teams to walk, run, or sprint yards to raise awareness for relationship abuse.
During each of Quinnipiac's ten home games QU Field Hockey will track their Yards for Yeardley. Please join us in raising awareness for relationship abuse by attending one of our games and support this worthy cause, any donation is appreciated!

The Bobcats are coming off a thrilling 3-2 overtime win at Lafayette on Monday, Oct. 23, highlighted by a hat trick from Dayna Barlow (Port Elizabeth, South Africa).
- Barlow's hat trick was the first for a Quinnipiac player since Danielle Allan scored three times in a 5-1 win against Holy Cross on Sept. 26, 2013.
- It was also the first hat trick for a Quinnipiac player on the road since Jess Rusin did it at Colgate in a 6-0 win on Sept. 9, 2011.
- Barlow's hat trick gives the co-captain a team-high seven goals on the season and pushes her points total to 18, also good for the team lead.
- Barlow also now sits first in goals on the team as she has found the back of the cage seven times this season.
- Kiera Godusky (Allentown, Pennsylvania) scored her first-career point on the assist to Barlow with just a 1:15 remaining in overtime.
- Quinnipiac's last non-conference overtime win came on October 19, 2014 at Bryant when the Bobcats won, 3-2, in shootout.
- Barlow now leads the team in goals (7) and points (18) and is tied with Lauren Belskie (Hillsborough, New Jersey) with a team-high two game-winning goals.
- With her three goals against Lafayette, she pushed her career total to 21 and became the 13th player in Quinnipiac history to reach 20 career goals. Her 21 goals rank 11th all-time.
- Barlow also became the 13th player in Quinnipiac history to reach 14 career assists, which are tied for 11th all-time with Jess Rusin '14 and Julie Smith '02.
- Barlow's 56 career points rank 10th in Quinnipiac history, while she is one of 11 players in Quinnipiac history to reach 50 career points.
- Michelle Federico (Cheshire, Connecticut) has assisted on a team-leading six goals this season, to go along with five goals scored, for 16 points.
