The Villanova/Georgetown result has no bearing on tournament qualification/seeding.
Important to note that in a 3-way tie for third at 4-3 between Providence OR ODU, Liberty and Quinnipiac, all 3 teams would be 1-1 against the others in that tie, but Quinnipiac would emerge as the #3 seed thanks to the win over UConn. Then head-to-head would determine the 4th seed.
Therefore:
Winner of ODU/PC is in and will be no lower than the #3 seed.
If PC loses, it’s still in with a UConn win OR a Quinnipiac win paired with a Liberty win
If ODU loses, it’s still in with a UConn win OR a Quinnipiac win paired with a Liberty win
Quinnipiac qualifies with a win over UConn AND a Temple win over Liberty.
If Liberty wins, it secures the #2 seed.
