Semifinals Recap: Quinnipiac 3, Dartmouth 1
• Quinnipiac defeated Dartmouth, 3-1, to advance to the ECAC Hockey Championship Game for the second time since Quinnipiac joined ECAC Hockey in 2005-06.
• Quinnipiac improves to 28-3-7 for the year and will advance to the tournament title game for the first time since 2007.
• Bobcats' goalie Michael Garteig (Prince George, British Columbia) recorded 23 saves to improve to 28-3-7 on the year while also winning his 74th game of his career, good for 19th all-time.
• Offensively, Quinnipiac benefitted from goals from Connor Clifton (Matawan, New Jersey) and Sam Anas (Potomac, Maryland) – both of whom also had assists – as well as freshman Craig Martin (Trail, British Columbia).
• Clifton's goal followed by Martin's goal made the duo the 12th and 13th Quinnipiac skaters to score a goal this postseason – the most in Quinnipiac's ECAC Hockey history. In addition, Clifton now has a league-leading six assists as well as seven points in the tournament. Anas has scored in two-straight league tournament games, while Martin also has two points in his last two playoff games.
The Bobcats In The National Polls
• The Bobcats were announced as the No. 2 team in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll for the first time in 11 weeks. The Bobcats still received 17 of the possible 34 first place votes and received 491 points, just one point behind North Dakota as the No. 1 team
• The Bobcats also were ranked No. 2 in the latest USCHO.com Division I Poll, as announced on Monday, March 14, 2016. The Bobcats received 14 first-place votes.
The Bobcats In The PairWise Ranking
• With a win against Dartmouth, and losses by North Dakota, Providence and Boston College, the Bobcats jumped back into the top spot in the PairWise Rankings after a one-week hiatus.
• The PairWise Ranking is a system which attempts to mimic the method used by the NCAA Selection Committee to determine participants for the NCAA Division I men's hockey tournament. The PWR compares all teams by these criteria: record against common opponents, head-to-head competition, and the RPI.
• For each comparison won, a team receives one point. The final PWR ranking is based on the number of points (comparisons) won. Ties are settled by the RPI.
The Bobcats All-Time Against Harvard
• Quinnipiac and Harvard have battled back and forth in their 26-game history, with the series knotted up at 11-11-4.
• These two teams last faced off on Jan. 9, 2016 at Madison Square Garden in front of more than 12,000 fans which the Bobcats won, 5-4, in overtime on Derek Smith's game-winning goal.
• Quinnipiac is 3-2-0 over the past two seasons against Harvard, including a regular season sweep this season against the Crimson

• 28-3-7 with a 1.92 GAA and a .923 save percentage.
• In 22 ECAC Hockey games, Garteig is 16-1-5 with a 1.97 GAA and a .920 save percentage.
• For the year, Garteig is 15-2-4 in 21 home games this season with a 1.61 goals-against average and a .937 save percentage with five shutouts. His 15 home wins lead all NCAA Division I goalies.

• Had a goal and an assist in Quinnipiac's 3-1 Semifinal win against Dartmouth.

• Has blown past his 2014-15 point totals (0-5-5), accumulating six goals and 16 assists for 22 points in 37 games this year.

• Had two goals and an assist in the Quinnipiac's 5-4 loss to Cornell in Game 2 of the ECAC Hockey Tournament Quarterfinals.

• Led all ECAC Hockey defensemen with 22 assists.

• Derek Smith checks in with three goals and 12 assists from the blue line.
• Derek Smith is fourth ECAC Hockey defensemen with a +15 plus/minus and is one of four defensemen to block 65 or more shots (67, 4th) for the year.
• Smith provided the dramatics when he cleaned up a rebound and scored the game-winner in overtime against No. 4 Harvard at Madison Square Garden on Jan. 9.
Soren Jonzzon (Jr., Left Wing, Mountain View, California/Youngstown Phantom (USHL))
• Jonzzon stands at eight goals and nine assists for 17 points this season, giving him 14 goals and 19 assists for 33 points for his career.
K.J. Tiefenwerth (Jr., Right Wing, Bellmore, New York/Junior Bruins (EJHL)/Massachusetts (Hockey East)
• Had a goal and an assist in the Bobcats' 5-4 loss to Cornell in Game 2 of the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals.

• Quinnipiac junior K.J. Tiefenwerth is enjoying a break-out season, as he's tallied career-highs in goals (6), assists (13) and points (19).
Bo Pieper (So., Left Wing, Roseville, Minnesota/Coquitlam Express (BCHL))
• Scored a career-high two goals against the No. 15 Cornell Big Red for the first multiple-goal and multiple-point game of his career.
• Now has a career-high four goals to go along with four assists for eight points on the season.
• In his career, Pieper has tallied seven goals and 14 assists for 21 points.
Tanner MacMaster (So., Center, Calgary, Alberta/Camrose Kodiaks (AJHL))
• Enjoying an outstanding second season with the Bobcats with four goals and 16 assists for 20 points.
• MacMaster entered the year with five goals and seven assists in his first season, giving him nine goals and 22 assists for 31 points in his career.
• All four of MacMaster's goals have come in the second half, to pair with eight assists for 12 points in his last 19 games.
