The Bobcats will travel to Conte Forum on Friday, Oct. 21 for a 2 p.m. puck drop, then host the Eagles on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 3 p.m. from the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden.
LAST WEEKEND
Quinnipiac split a series against Mercyhurst this past weekend in Erie, Pennsylvania. The Bobcats lost, 3-2, on Friday Oct. 14, then topped the Lakers on Saturday, Oct. 15, by a 1-0 final in overtime.
Emma Woods (Burford, Ontario) and Miranda Lantz (Mildmay, Ontario) both scored on Friday – Quinnipiac's first loss of the 2016-17 season. Meghan Turner (Bedford, New Hampshire) and Randi Marcon (Winnipeg, Manitioba) each recorded an assist, while Sydney Rossman (Excelsior, Minnesota) made 23 saves in net.
The Bobcats bounced back on Saturday, as junior forward Taylar Cianfarano (Oswego, New York) netted the game winner with 2:09 left in overtime. Rossman made nine saves in her fourth shutout of the year, needing just four more for the program's all-time record.
ALL-TIME vs. BOSTON COLLEGE
Quinnipiac is 4-16-3 all-time vs. Boston College, though the Bobcats have taken two of the last four meetings. The Eagles topped Quinnipiac on Jan. 24, 2015 the last time the teams met, and Quinnipiac won two meetings ago in November of 2013 at High Point Solutions Arena. Boston College won the first seven matchups of the all-time series. The Bobcats first program win against the Eagles was on Oct. 23, 2004. Quinnipiac is 2-0-1 vs. B.C. in games played at High Point Solutions Arena.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Boston College lost, 3-2, vs. Maine its last time out – snapping a 52-game regular season undefeated streak for the Eagles. Delaney Belinskas has a team-high five goals on the year, while Caitrin Lonergan has four goals and two assists. Megan Keller has a team-high seven points on one goal and six assists. 15 total players have registered a point for B.C., and 12 have multiple points. Junior goaltender Katie Burt has started all six of the Eagles' games, posting a 2.44 goals against average and an .897 save percentage. The Eagles have beaten New Hampshire and Maine (Twice), lost to Maine, and lost and tied vs. Minnesota Duluth.
Boston College went won all 40 games last season before being defeated, 3-1, by Minnesota in the National Championship game.

Junior forward Taylar Cianfarano (Oswego, New York) was selected to the Preseason All-ECAC First Team. Last year as a sophomore, Cianfarano led the ECAC with 52 points.
OFFENSIVE ATTACK
Quinnipiac returns three of its top five scorers from 2015-16. Cianfarano led the team with 52 points on 28 goals and 24 assists, Emma Woods (Burford, Ontario) recorded 34 points via 11 goals and 23 assists, and Melissa Samoskevich (Sandy Hook, CT) 16 goals and 16 assists for 32 points. Nicole Connery (13g, 14a) and Nicole Kosta (10g, 15a) both graduated following the end of last season.
LAST SEASON
As a team, Quinnipiac is on the heels of perhaps its most impressive season in program history, which ended with an ECAC Hockey Championship and an NCAA Tournament berth. The Bobcats went 30-3-5 in 2015-16, earning the most wins and highest win percentage (.885) in team history. Head coach Cassandra Turner also set the NCAA Record for most wins by a first-year women's ice hockey head coach.

Other program records set in 2015-16 included: most goals scored (118), most assists (188), highest power play percentage (25 percent), highest penalty kill (92.5 percent), fewest goals allowed (35), lowest GAA (0.92), most home wins (18), longest winning streak (10 games), and longest unbeaten streak (21 games).

THE CAPTAIN
Emma Woods (Burford, Ontario) was unanimously voted by her teammates to be the Bobcats' captain for 2016-17 season, the team announced on Sunday, April 3. Woods will be the 15th different player to be named captain in the program's 16-year history. As a junior, she served as an assistant captain alongside Kristen Tamberg (North Toronto, Ontario) - with Cydney Roesler (Stittsville, Ontario) as the captain. Forward Meghan Turner and goaltender Sydney Rossman have been selected as assistant captains. Woods has three goals and an assist so far this year for the Bobcats, and 38 career goals to go along with 49 assists.
ROSSMAN
Bobcats' goaltender Sydney Rossman returns for 2016-17. She had a .949 save percentage a season ago, allowing just .90 goals per game in 39 games (second-best in the nation). The 2016 ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Year recorded 16 shutouts in 2015-16, which is tied with former Bobcat netminder Chelsea Laden's single-season record from 2014-15. Her current .946 save percentage and .95 goals-against average for her career rank No. 1 in program history. She has four shutouts so far in 2016-17, with a .934 save percentage. She is also an assistant captain for Quinnipiac this year.
CIANFARANO
T.T. Cianfarano recorded 28 goals and 24 assists last year, winning ECAC Hockey Player of the Year honors. She owns the Quinnipiac program record for most goals and most points in a single-season for a sophomore. She was selected to the Preseason 2016-17 All-ECAC First Team, and has recorded a team high nine points on six goals and three assists so far this season. Cianfarano has 51 career goals and 40 career assists, putting her 9 points away from 100.
SAMOSKEVICH
Melissa Samoskevich has two goals and three assists for five points so far this year. She was named to the ECAC Hockey All-Rookie Team last season, after putting up 16 goals and 16 assists as a freshman. Samoskevich has 18 goals and 19 assists for 37 career points.
TURNER
Meghan Turner, an assistant captain for the Bobcats in 2016-17, has two goals and four assists for six points so far this season. She has 19 career goals and 17 career assists over four years with the Bobcats – including a career-high eight goals in 2015-16.
FRESH FACES
The Bobcats have added five freshmen to their roster to begin the 2016-17 season. Kati Tabin (Winnipeg, MB) and Allison Roethke (Buffalo, MN) join the defensive core, Abby Cleary (Buffalo, NY) and Kenzie Prater (Hudson, WI) join as forwards, and Abbie Ives(Bedford Hills, NY) will be one of Quinnipiac's three goalies this year. Prater recorded two assists last weekend in her first collegiate action for the Bobcats.
