Reunion for Ardito
Current Quinnipiac women's ice hockey assistant coach Eddie Ardito is quickly facing his former team after just four games behind the Bobcats' bench. Ardito spent four seasons as the assistant coach of the Bulldogs and one season as a volunteer assistant, helping bring the Bulldogs to a threatening offensive team and solid defensive team in ECAC Hockey.
Holding Down the Fort
Despite only four games played, the Bobcats are the one of the top defensive teams in the country once again, only allowing 79 shots on goal in those four games and just 19.75 shots on goal allowed per game. Colgate has also played four games, allowing 105 shots, 26 more than the Bobcats. Nationally, the Bobcats have allowed the second fewest goals in the country behind Minnesota's 76 while their shots on goal allowed rank fourth behind Minnesota (12.67), Wisconsin (13.83) and North Dakota (18.50).
Three's Company

Adding to her impressive weekend, Cianfarano recorded her third career three point game with two goals and one assist in the finale on Saturday. With her four point weekend, Cianfarano has now recorded four goals and three assists for seven points, as she is second in ECAC Hockey in goals and points.
Melissa the Magnificent
Melissa Samoskevich has kept pace with Cianfarano for the team lead in points through the first four games, as the pair are the only two players to record a point in every game so far this season. Samoskevich has one goal and five assists, thanks in part to a four assist weekend up in Maine. Samoskevich tallied her first career three-point game with three assists on Saturday. Samoskevich is second in ECAC Hockey with five assists this season after her league-leading weekend.
Completing the Trio
Cianfarano and Samoskevich's linemate Emma Woods had a solid weekend of her own, potting one goal and assisting another for a two-point weekend. The Bobcats' junior assistant captain now has three goals and one assist through the first four games of the season and has one of the two power play goals for the team. Not only has Woods been an effective scorer, she also has won 32 faceoffs, good for the most on the team. The Samoskevich-Woods-Cianfarano line has scored eight of the team's 13 goals, tallied nine of the 18 assists to go with 17 of the 31 points recorded this year.
Cydney and Happiness
The Bobcats defense has been anchored so far by captain Cydney Roesler, who's one goal and three assists give her the third most points on the team. Roesler tallied her first goal of the season on Friday night in Maine before adding two assists on Saturday for her third career two-assist game and sixth career two-point effort. Not only has she put the puck in the net, but Roesler has effectively kept it out of her own net as well, blocking four shots in the defensive end.
