Foley Sets New Season-High in Win Over Manhattan

Riverdale, New York – The Quinnipiac Bobcats took down the Manhattan Jaspers, 74-56, on Saturday afternoon to complete the season sweep over the Jaspers. With the win, the Bobcats improved to 16-4 overall and 11-0 in MAAC play.
Anna Foley had a big day, leading the Bobcats with 21 points on 66.7% (8-for-12) shooting from the floor in 27 minutes off the bench. Foley grabbed a team-high eight rebounds in the effort, including two offensive rebounds. Karson Martin reached double figures in the win, scoring eleven points on 57.1% shooting from the field. Ella O'Donnell reached double figures for the 14th time this season, finishing the day with 10 points. Seven total Bobcats recorded points as Quinnipiac won its eleventh straight contest to start conference play.

Ella O'Donnell got the Bobcats off and running just 23 seconds into the contest before the Bobcats rattled off the game's first seven points, forcing the Jaspers to call an early timeout. The Jaspers responded out of their timeout, but the Bobcats held a 22-15 lead at the end of the opening quarter.
Quinnipiac and Manhattan traded points to start the second quarter, but a low-scoring first five minutes of the frame saw the Bobcats leading 28-19 at the media timeout. Out of the break, Anna Foley took control, scoring six of Quinnipiac's final nine points of the quarter, to help the Bobcats to a 37-25 advantage at the half.
Manhattan got on the board first in the second half, but Quinnipiac kept its distance. The Bobcats outscored the Jaspers 11-8 in the first 5:47 of the third quarter as they led by 15 at the media timeout. Out of the timeout, the Bobcats improved on their lead, as Karson Martin made it an 18-point game at the end of the third quarter.
Manhattan got within 14 as the Bobcats called a timeout with 6:27 remaining in the final quarter. Out of the timeout, the Bobcats settled back in and took down the Jaspers, 74-56, improving to 11-0 in MAAC play and winning their eleventh straight contest.
