FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Quinnipiac Men's Lacrosse is set for a MAAC Tournament battle vs. Sacred Heart on Thursday afternoon at Campus Field. The Bobcats and the Pioneers will clash at 3:00 PM on ESPN+ with a trip to the championship game on the line.

- Quinnipiac scored five consecutive goals in the fourth quarter on Sunday afternoon at Canisius, earning a thrilling 12-10 comeback win to advance in the MAAC Tournament.
- Justin Robbert began the fourth-quarter scoring outburst for QU, finding the back of the cage twice to make it a one-goal game. Trevor Douglas tied the contest 10-10 with 6:54 left, then Nate Watson gave Quinnipiac the lead with 6:13 left. Glenn Platania added an empty-netter to help clinch the road victory.
- Mason Oak made 14 saves to help anchor the defensive end for QU. Robbert finished with four goals and one assist.
- With the victory, the #6 Bobcats will now head to top-seeded Sacred Heart on Thursday, May 1 for a MAAC semifinal contest.
- Quinnipiac advances to the semifinal round of the MAAC postseason tournament for the 5th time since joining the league (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2025).
- 3 Quinnipiac Men's Lacrosse players earned All-MAAC status for the 2025 regular season, as revealed by the league office on Friday, April 25.
- Justin Robbert was named Second Team All-MAAC at the attack position, Nick Meoni is a Second Team All-Conference selection at short stick midfield, and Joe Konesco was tabbed an All-Rookie honoree.
- Robbert finished with 21 goals and a team-high 15 assists over 13 regular season contests. The sophomore's 36 points rank tied for the team-best mark alongside sophomore Nate Watson – who also scored 36 points in 2025. Robbert scored at least one goal in each game this year, highlighted by a season-high six-goal outburst against Mount St. Mary's (3/8/25). He finished with 9 multi-point games to help lead the Bobcats' attack unit.
- Meoni played in all 13 games for Quinnipiac, finishing with four goals, two assists, 27 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. The sophomore midfielder recorded eight different games with 2+ ground balls. He scooped up 9 ground balls over QU's final two games of the regular season. He also caused a pair of turnovers against both Mount St. Mary's and Canisius.
- Joe Konesco helped anchor QU's defensive unit during his first season in Hamden. He played in 12 games for Quinnipiac, finishing with 15 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers. Konesco tallied a career-high six ground balls during the Bobcats' final road contest of the regular season at Siena (4/12/25). Konesco caused four turnovers at Mount St. Mary's (3/8/25), then caused three more miscues at Canisius (3/22/25).
- Mason Oak has made 12.71 saves per contest, which ranks 11th nationally.
- Ryan Downing leads the league in caused turnovers per game (1.62) – which ranks 24th in the nation.
- Quinnipiac dropped its regular-season finale vs. Merrimack, 10-9, in overtime on Wednesday afternoon at the QU Lacrosse Stadium.
- Casey Herod scored the game-winner in overtime for the Warriors. Herod led Merrimack with four goals on the day.
- Nate Watson paced Quinnipiac with three goals and one helper, while Justin Robbert chipped in with two goals and two assists. Trevor Douglas also scored a pair of goals for the Bobcats.
- Quinnipiac (2-6 MAAC) has clinched the No. 6 seed in the upcoming MAAC Tournament, and will begin action in the league quarterfinals on Sunday, April 27 at Canisius.
- Quinnipiac men's lacrosse dropped a MAAC matchup at Siena, 17-7, on Saturday afternoon from Hickey Field.
- Justin Robbert scored 2 goals to go along with 1 helper, Nate Watson scored once and added a pair of assists, and Ryan Goodman also scored twice for the Bobcats.
- Siena jumped out to a 6-2 advantage at the end of the first quarter, and the Saints led 8-3 at half. Ryan McCarthy led the scoring charge for Siena with a game-high 8 points.
- Quinnipiac dropped a MAAC matchup vs. Sacred Heart, 12-7, on Saturday afternoon at the QU Lacrosse Stadium.
- Ryan Goodman and Nick Meoni both scored two goals to help lead QU's offensive charge. Mason Oak made 18 more saves in front of the cage for the Bobcats.
- Sacred Heart led 9-1 at the midway point, then the Bobcats scored five straight times to begin the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to 11-7.
- John Murray led the Pioneers with three goals and one helper. Eight different Pioneers scored in total.
- Quinnipiac men's lacrosse program dropped a MAAC contest vs. Iona, 12-8, on Saturday afternoon at the QU Lacrosse Stadium.
- Nick Meoni, Justin Robbert and Cole Marsala each scored during the opening period to give the Bobcats a 3-2 advantage.
- Iona then took a 5-3 lead, and Quinnipiac battled back to even the score 5-5 heading into the break after goals from Trevor Douglas and Nate Watson.
- The Gaels outscored QU 3-1 in the third period, and 4-2 in the fourth to earn the road win.
- Quinnipiac dropped a tight MAAC contest at Manhattan by the final score of 7-6 on Wednesday afternoon at Gaelic
- Justin Robbert and Owen Murray each scored twice for the Bobcats, while Johnny Karafa dished out a pair of helpers. Mason Oak made 12 saves in front of the cage for QU.
- Manhattan scored twice in the first quarter, then Quinnipiac battled back to tie the game 2-2 in the second stanza. The Bobcats took a 5-4 lead with 12:47 left in the fourth after Owen Murray scored his second goal of the day. Then, after a pair of goals from the Jaspers, Justin Robbert tied it once again (6-6) with 5:30 remaining.
- Liam Peabody scored the winner for Manhattan with 3:44 to go.
- QU men's lacrosse fell against Canisius in a tight MAAC contest, 10-9, on Saturday afternoon in Hamden.
- Justin Robbert and Trevor Douglas each scored three times to help pace the Bobcats. Cole Marsala recorded a team-high four assists.
- Mason Oak made 11 stops in front of the cage for Quinnipiac (2-6, 2-1 MAAC).
- The Bobcats led 9-7 with 5:54 left in the fourth quarter of action, then Canisius scored the game's final three goals to earn a one-score victory on the road. Jordan Reed scored all three goals down the stretch for the Griffs.
- Shots finished even 29-29. Canisius won 13 of 22 faceoff battles.
- QU improved to 2-0 in MAAC play on Saturday, outlasting Marist in a thriller by the final score of 8-7 at Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field.
- Quinnipiac took an 8-6 lead with 1:22 left in the third quarter on a Nate Watson goal, and the Bobcats held on with one final defensive stand at the end of regulation to earn an 8-7 win.
- The Bobcats scored twice in the first, twice in the second, and four times in the third quarter.
- Owen Murray registered 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) to lead the Bobcats. Johnny Karafa and Nate Watson each scored twice. Justin Robbert dished out 2 helpers, as well.
- Goalie Mason Oak made 21 saves in the win. The Preseason MAAC Player of the Year has 94 saves over seven games this season.
- QU earned a win in its MAAC opener on Saturday afternoon, defeating Mount St. Mary's on the road by the final score of 21-10.

- MAAC Defensive Player of the Year/USA Lacrosse All-American Mason Oak returns to help anchor the Bobcats' defensive unit. The goalie finished second in the entire country in saves per game (15.43) and ranked fourth in save percentage (58.7%) in 2024. The junior made 216 total saves and allowed just 152 goals during 14 contests. Oak made 22 saves vs. Sacred Heart on April 10 – the fifth largest save total in a D1 game during the 2024 campaign. He posted nine games with 15+ saves.
- Oak has been tabbed Preseason MAAC Player of the Year, and was named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American list.
- The Bobcats have 12 first-year athletes in total.
- Jake Gallose (Ronkonkoma, NY), Drew Bradley (Attleboro, MA), Carter Hills (Saratoga Springs, NY), Brendan Johnson (Park City, Utah), Joe Konesco (Indianapolis, Ind.), Drew Hansen (Franklin, MA), Adam Kim (Greenwich, CT), Chad Pelonzi (Princeton, Mass.), Augie Silver (Lake Forest, Ill.), Logan Boltz (White Hall, MD), Nick Smith (Newington, NH) and Riley Ruane (Essex Fells, NJ) will all join the Bobcats for their first collegiate season in 2025.
- Poli and the Bobcats will play in 13 total contests during the spring season. Quinnipiac will host five games at the QU Lacrosse Stadium in Hamden – one in February, two in March, and two home games in April.
- Quinnipiac will open up the season with a pair of road trips to UMass (February 14) and St. John's (February 18). The Bobcats will then square off with Bryant for the third consecutive season, as QU will host the Bulldogs in Hamden (February 22) for the home opener.
- "We are very excited for another challenging slate in 2024," Poli said. "Both our non-conference and our league schedule provide a look at some new opponents. Our out-of-conference schedule is highlighted by a Colorado trip to play Air Force and Denver. We are also thrilled to welcome Iona and Merrimack into the MAAC!"
- Mason Poli, a former standout lacrosse player at Bryant University, enters his 11th season with the Quinnipiac coaching staff in 2024-2025 – and his seventh at the helm of the program.
- After serving as an assistant for the Bobcats' program for four seasons (2015-18), Poli was elevated to Interim Head Coach for the 2019 season. He was then named Men's Lacrosse Head Coach on May 10, 2019, becoming the Bobcats' sixth head coach in program history and third at the Division I level.
- QU has won 34 matchups in seven seasons under Poli.
- In 2019 as Interim Head Coach, Poli led Quinnipiac men's lacrosse to a 9-7 (5-2 MAAC) record and the program's third-ever appearance in the MAAC Tournament championship contest. Poli led all first-year Division I head coaches in total wins (9) and winning percentage (.562) in 2019.
- Quinnipiac went 9-5 (5-4 MAAC) last season – the most wins for the team since 2019. The Bobcats won each of their first seven games against St. John's, Brown, Bryan, Merrimack, Canisius, Wagner, and Marist.
- The Bobcats entered the Inside Lacrosse Division I Media Poll on March 25, 2024 following a perfect 7-0 start (best start to a season since 2008). QU was tabbed No. 20 nationally in the rankings.
