Women's Basketball Dominates Merrimack

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team capped off the week with a 76-44 win over the Merrimack Warriors on Saturday afternoon in Hamden.
Gal Raviv had a team-high 23 points on 55.6% (10-for-18) shooting from the floor. Raviv grabbed a team-high six rebounds and dished out four assists. Anna Foley again reached double figures as she scored 13 points and recorded a team-high five assists. Jackie Grisdale and Grace LaBarge each scored ten points in the win. Nine Bobcats scored at least one point in the thirty-two-point win over Merrimack.
The Bobcats and Warriors each started the game off slowly on the offensive end, but Quinnipiac held a 14-9 advantage despite shooting only 33.3% in the quarter.
The Bobcats went on a quick 4-0 run in the second quarter to force Merrimack to call a timeout with 7:58 to play in the quarter. Quinnipiac dominated the Warriors out of the timeout as they closed out the second quarter with a 19-6 run, led by seven points from Karson Martin.
The Warriors attempted to come back to start the half, but a 16-13 run from Quinnipiac helped the Bobcats keep their distance halfway through the third quarter. The two sides would combine for eleven points the rest of the quarter as Quinnipiac entered the final frame with a 24-point lead.
Quinnipiac continued to dominate the Warriors in the final quarter, outscoring Merrimack 18-10 in the final ten minutes to close out the 76-44 victory.
