Oakville, Ontario native potted five goals, averaging nation-best 1.6 goals per contest in December
DANBURY, Conn. — After a four-goal outing and five-goal month overall, grad student forward Jack Ricketts is the ECAC Forward of the Month, the league announced on Thursday.
The Oakville, Ontario native averaged 1.6 goals per game in the month of December, the most of any forward in the country, leading to the accolade. Four of his five goals on the month came against AIC, breaking the program's Division I single-game record for goals in a contest.
He also is one of two players in NCAA Division I men's hockey to score four in a game this season, joining Michigan's TJ Hughes.
He added another one against Union on Dec. 7, aiding the Bobcats to a 3-1 victory in that outing.
Ricketts enters 2025 as the nation's leading active goalscorer amongst Division I players, recording 54 over his four-plus-year collegiate career. He stands three points away from the 100-point milestone, a mark he eyes this weekend when the Bobcats take the ice twice against Northeastern and Stonehill.
Quinnipiac is slated for a 4 p.m. puck drop against the Huskies on Saturday, before turning around for Monday night action against Stonehill at 7 p.m.
