QU Falls to Mount St. Mary's in Overtime

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team fell to the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers in overtime, 69-64, on Saturday afternoon in Hamden.
Jackie Grisdale scored a team-high 19 points on 54% (7-for-13) shooting from the field and 44% (4-for-9) from three-point range. Gal Raviv was second on the team with 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Anna Foley scored 10 points in the loss and Ella O'Donnell led the team with 14 rebounds.
The Bobcats and Mountaineers traded points to start the game, but Quinnipiac held a two-point advantage at the end of the first ten minutes.
The Mountaineers caught fire to start the second quarter as they built an eight-point lead. Karson Martin cut the deficit to six to close out the first half.
Quinnipiac came out of the locker room firing on all cylinders as they outscored the Mountaineers 22-9 in the third quarter to take a seven-point lead into the final quarter.
Quinnipiac's lead got as high as 12, but the Mountaineers were able to even the game as Jo Raflo knocked down a three to send the game into overtime.
Mount St. Mary's outscored the Bobcats 9-4 in the extra frame to defeat the Bobcats for their fourth straight win.
