Bobcats Defeat Rider, Improve to 16-2

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team got back in the win column as they defeated the Rider Broncs 66-53 on Saturday afternoon in New Jersey.
Gal Raviv had another 20+ point performance, scoring 21 points on 6-for-14 (42.8%) shooting from the floor. Anna Foley was second on the team with 13 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. Jackie Grisdale reached 12 points in the win. Seven different Bobcats scored points in the 13-point victory over the Broncs.
The Bobcats started on fire, shooting 50% in the opening quarter to open an 18-8 advantage after the first ten minutes.
The Bobcats continued to dominate in the second quarter, outscoring the Broncs 18-5 to take a 36-13 lead into halftime.
Quinnipiac's lead got as high as 23 before Rider cut it to 17 at the end of the third quarter. The Broncs outscored the Bobcats 19-13 in the third frame.
Rider got within eleven with 1:26 left in the final frame, but Quinnipiac wouldn't let them get any closer. Quinnipiac was able to hit their free-throws down the stretch to defeat Rider by thirteen.
