No. 10 Bobcats Dominate Maine in Season Opener

ORONO, Maine — The No. 10 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey opened its season with a dominant 7-0 win over Maine on Friday night.
The Bobcats controlled play early, with Maya Labad scoring just over six minutes in. Makayla Watson scored the first of her collegiate career at the end of the period to give the Bobcats a two-goal lead heading to the first break.
QU scored three more goals in the second period, coming from Bryn Prier, Sophie Urban, and Kathryn Stockdale. Urban and Stockdale's goals both came with just under two minutes to go in the second frame.
Maya Labad added her second tally of the game after Makayla Watson found her streaking down the ice. Kahlen Lamarche added the final goal for her first of the year.
