HAMDEN, Conn. – No. 6 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey will travel to No. 7 UConn for an exhibition matchup on Saturday afternoon in Storrs, Conn. Puck drop is slated for 3 p.m. and admission is free for all fans to check out a ranked, in-state matchup.

SCOUTING UCONN

The Huskies finished the 2025-26 season with a 28-9-2 record, including 17-6-1 in the Hockey East.
UConn earned a double-overtime victory over Northeastern to capture the 2026 Hockey East Championship after falling to the Huskies in the 2025 semifinals.
They advanced to the NCAA Regional Final, where the Huskies fell 3-0 to No. 3 Penn State.
UConn was picked to finish second in the 2026-27 Hockey East Preseason Poll, behind Northeastern.
Quinnipiac last faced UConn in the semifinals of the Nutmeg Classic, with the Huskies edging the Bobcats 4-3.

IN THE POLLS

The Bobcats have been ranked No. 6 nationally in each of the latest national polls and in the preseason (USCHO & USA Hockey).

PRESEASON FAVORITES

Cass Turner's squad has been selected as the favorite in the preseason coaches' poll for the first time in a decade.
The Bobcats received 112 points in the preseason poll with six first-place votes, following the program's second ECAC Championship title last season.
Senior assistant captain Kahlen Lamarche and junior goaltender Felicia Frank were both named to the ECAC Hockey Preseason All-League Team.

BELIEVE IN THE BOBCATS

The Bobcats advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2023, earning a 4-0 shutout victory over Franklin Pierce before falling to No. 1 Wisconsin in the Regional Final.
QU finished the season with 29 wins and captured its first ECAC Hockey Championship since 2016, defeating top-seeded Yale 5-1 in the title game.
The tournament was also historic, marking the first time the women's championship was played at Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid.
Goaltender Felicia Frank was named the ECAC Tournament's Most Outstanding Player after stopping 61 shots and allowing just two goals. Frank was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Avery Bairos, Makayla Watson, and Zoe Uens.
Bairos played a key role in QU's postseason run, scoring twice, including the overtime game-winner against No. 2 Princeton. The goals were the third and fourth of her collegiate career.
Kahlen Lamarche and Felicia Frank earned All-ECAC First Team honors, while Watson was named to the All-ECAC Second Team.

THE KAHLEN EFFECT

Kahlen Lamarche became the first Bobcat in program history to be named a top-10 finalist for the 2026 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award.
Lamarche earned ACHA Second Team All-American, All-USCHO Second Team and All-ECAC Hockey First Team honors following her record-setting season.
The forward tallied 42 goals and 22 assists for 64 points in 2025-26, leading the NCAA in goals and ranking third nationally in points.
Lamarche broke two of Quinnipiac's Division I single-season records, setting new program marks for goals and points. Both records had previously been held by Kelly Babstock '14 for 15 years.

STRONG RETURNING GROUP

QU returns 68% of its scoring from a season ago, with the rising junior class accounting for nearly half of that production.
Last season's NCAA goal-scoring leader, Kahlen Lamarche, returns for her senior year in Hamden after three-straight 30+ point seasons.
Junior defenders Aynsley D'Ottavio and Makayla Watson return to the Bobcats' blueline after tallying 28 and 26 points, respectively, last season.
Ella Johnson, Bryn Prier, Ella Sennick, Taylor Brueske and Peyton Cormier also return after each recorded double-digit points in 2025-26.

NEW FACES, SAME STANDARD

The Bobcats welcome nine newcomers this season, including six first-year players and three transfers.
Ellie Gauvin joins QU after spending four seasons on the blueline at Brown, where she appeared in 64 games and recorded 12 points.
Senior Keara Parker and junior Ilsa Lindaman join the Bobcats after transferring from St. Thomas.
Parker played in 105 games for the Tommies, tallying 24 points, while Lindaman recorded 21 points across 63 career games.
The first year class features three forwards, two defenders, and one goalie.
QU adds three Americans in Cassidy Lobisser (Massachusetts), Natalia Dilbone (Michigan), and Annika Stock (Alaska).
The class also features three international students, Annabell Kruzich from Ottawa, Canada, Rosalie Breton and Clara-Mai Van Houtte-Cachero from Québec, Canada.

BOBCATS IN THE PWHL

QU saw two players get drafted in the 2026 PWHL Draft.
Emerson Jarvis was selected 26th overall by the Seattle Torrent, joining Lexie Adzija '23 and GM Meghan Turner '17.
Zoe Uens was selected 10 picks later by the Walter Cup Champion Montréal Victoire, joining Kati Tabin '20.
The Bobcats currently have 14 players and two General Managers in the league.
