No. 10 Women's Ice Hockey Completes Sweep of Maine

ORONO, Maine — The No. 10 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey notched its second straight shutout victory to open its season, winning 4-0 over Maine.
QU picked up where they left the night before with Laurence Frenette scoring seven minutes in for her first goal as a Bobcat. The Bobcats dominated the first period, outshooting the Black Bears 13-3.
Maya Labad scored her third goal of the weekend on a one-handed flick that just slipped past the Maine goalie for the Bobcats lone goal of the second period.
QU added two more goals 27 seconds apart in the third period from Emerson Jarvis and Maddy Samoskevich.
STATS AND NOTES
The Bobcats will be hitting the road again next weekend, heading to Boston, Mass. to face Northeastern in a two-game series. Game one is Friday night at 7:00 PM.

- Kahlen Lamarche tallied three assists, her sixth multi-assist game of her career, and third 3-assist game of her career.
