HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac baseball team is back in action with a packed slate of five games over the next five days. The Bobcats open the week at home vs. UMass on Wednesday before QU takes on Hartford in a four-game weekend set vs. Hartford.

The Minutemen carry a 9-5 record all-time against the Bobcats into the contest
UMass is 6-2 in the last eight contests vs. Quinnipiac
The last time these two sides faced off, UMass came away with a 4-3 victory over QU on May 17, 2022
Kyle Maves and Anthony Donofrio led the offense with an RBI apiece in the loss

Junior Keegan O'Connor is enjoying a breakout junior campaign
O'Connor is batting .276 on the season
O'Connor is tied for fourth on the team in hits with 43

O'Connor was hot at the opening MAAC series at Rider, batting .750 (9-for-12) with two homers and four RBIs over the three-game stretch

SAINT ANTHONY DONOFRIO

Anthony Donofrio was the lone Quinnipiac player to earn All-MAAC Preseason honors heading into 2023
Donofrio is batting .344 on the season, which is tops on the team and 13th in the MAAC
His 54 hits on the season ranks second on the team
Donofrio leads the team with 11 homers and 46 RBIs
His 11 homers ranks seventh in the MAAC
His 46 RBIs ranks second in the conference
Donofrio boasts 115 career hits in 84 games
In a 4-0 weekend for the Bobcats at UMES, Donofrio batted .412 with seven hits, including two doubles, two homers, and six RBIs
Donofrio boasted a slugging percentage of .882% and recorded five runs scored in the series sweep over UMES
He tallied at least a hit in each contest, including two in all but one contest.
Last season, Donofrio earned All-MAAC Second Team honors as an outfielder

Kevin Seitter is enjoying his best season as a senior
Seitter leads the team in wins (5), complete games (2), ERA (3.74), innings pitched (65.0), and strikeouts (54)
Seitter has not allowed more than three earned runs in six consecutive starts
QU has earned a win in five of Seitter's last six starts
In his last start vs. Mount St. Mary's on April 30, Seitter earned the win after allowing two earned runs on five hits over 9.0 innings pitched
He struck out eight batters in the outing
It marked the second complete game of the season for Seitter

QU baseball head coach John Delaney announced a new team member, signing six-year-old Cameron Wilson through Team IMPACT in a press conference held in the Mount Carmel Campus Rec Center on Feb. 12, 2022
He will participate in many activities with the baseball team over the next two years, including games, practices, and other team events

The Bobcats will be back in action on Thursday, May 11, when QU plays host against St. Peter's at 3 p.m.
