Eight Players Record Goals in Defeat
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Eight different Bobcats recorded at least one goal on Wednesday evening, but Quinnipiac women's lacrosse dropped a road contest, 19-12, to Bryant. The teams competed indoors at Conaty Indoor Athletic Center in Smithfield due to the inclement weather.
Bryant scored eight of the game's first nine goals, with the only Quinnipiac tally coming from Sophie Spencer at the 6:51 mark of the first quarter.
Trailing 8-1, the Bobcats put together their best run of the game by rattling off six of the next eight scores to cut the deficit to three goals, 10-7), with 12:28 to play in the third quarter.
After the teams traded a pair of goals each, the hosts pulled away with a strong fourth quarter finish.

NOTES
- Desiree Kleberg, Sophie Spencer, Maddie Deegan, and Ellagrace Delmond all scored twice apiece, while Sydney Skalstad, Liza Bailey, Gabby Beckett, and Sophia Iaccino all got on the board with a goal of their own.
- First year goalkeeper Lindsay Mazzucco made her collegiate debut and made seven saves in 37 minutes of play between the pipes.
- Defender Melissa Murphy caused three turnovers and picked up a ground ball in the loss.
UP NEXT
The Bobcats will return home on Saturday to host the UMass-Lowell Riverhawks. The match in Hamden will begin at noon at the Quinnipiac Lacrosse Stadium.FOLLOW US
