CANTON, N.Y. – The No. 8/7 Bobcats dropped a road conference game to the St. Lawrence Saints on Saturday afternoon by a score of 2-1. The Saints scored first, but junior Kate Reilly tallied a goal late in the first period to tie the game. St. Lawrence's Kristina Bahl would scored the game-winning goal in the second period to seal the win for the Saints.

Both Corinne Schroeder and St. Lawrence's Lucy Morgan made 21 saves in the net. The Bobcats move to 11-5 in the conference, and the Saints improve to 9-5-2. Quinnipiac and St. Lawrence will complete the season series tomorrow, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m., in Canton.

SCORING SUMMARY

(6:01, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 0, St. Lawrence 1: The Saints struck first on the first shot of the game. Rachel Bjorgan recovered the puck off in the Saints defensive zone and took it by herself and scored past Schroeder to give St. Lawrence a 1-0 lead.
(17:45, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, St. Lawrence 1: Reilly scored from the top of the slot after receiving the puck from Nina Steigauf on the left side. Senior Lexie Adzija also tallied an assist on the play.
(11:08, 2nd period, DP) – Quinnipiac 1, St. Lawrence 2: The Saints scored a delayed penalty goal after a tie-up in front of the net. Corinne Schroeder fell and slid out in the front the of net, allowing the puck to slide out. St. Lawrence's Kristina Bahl was there to tap it in and give the Saints a 2-1 lead.

Reilly tallied her fourth goal of the year and now has 14 points on the season.
Steigauf and Adzija both added a helper in the loss.
Olivia Mobley led the team with five shots on net.
Schroeder made 21 saves and moves to 8-6-2 on the season.
The Bobcats went 0-1 on the power play and 4-4 on the penalty kill to remain perfect on the weekend when down a skater.
Adzija won 14 of 25 face offs to lead the team (56%), and the Bobcats held the advantage in the face-off circle, winning 57%.
