#9 Women's Ice Hockey Takes Down #6 Yale, 4-1

HAMDEN, Conn. – The No. 9/9 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey defeated the #6/6 Yale Bulldogs on Friday night in front of a stellar crowd in Hamden. Graduate student Corinne Schroeder made 38 saves in the win, and Renee Saltness, Kendall Cooper, Jess Schryver and Olivia Mobley lit the lamp.
Quinnipiac secured home ice for the quarterfinal round of the ECAC Hockey Tournament with the victory. The quarterfinals are set to begin next weekend. In addition, the Bobcats recorded the team's fourth-straight win and second top-ten victory in four games.
The Bobcats need one more win to tie the program record of 16 ECAC Hockey victories, which was set during the 2015-16 season.

- (5:10, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, Yale 0: Renee Saltness opened the scoring with a goal in the first period off a turnover in the Bulldogs' defensive end. Sophie Urban and Olivia Mobley tallied assists on the goal.

- (17:40, 3rd period, EN) – Quinnipiac 4, Yale 1: Mobley raced after a puck in the neutral zone as the Bobcats were skating down, 6-versus-5, beat two Yale players and tapped in the empty net goal.
- Quinnipiac earned its 23rd win against Yale.
- The Bobcats have played the Bulldogs three times this seasona and have won every game, including two in which Yale was ranked in the top ten.
