TROY, N.Y. – The No. 9/9 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team tallied the team's eighth shutout of the season in a 4-0 road victory at RPI. Sophomore NIna Steigauf led the team with two goals in the win, and graduate student Corinne Schroeder recorded 18 saves in her fourth shutout of the season.

Steigauf, Renee Saltness and Sadie Peart all scored in the win. Quinnipiac out shot the Engineers 27-18 and improve to 22-7-3 overall with a 14-6 ECAC Hockey record. The Bobcats' 22 wins this season is the most since the 2015-16 season when Quinnipiac recorded a program-record 30 total wins.

The Bobcats hold the third seed in the ECAC Hockey standings through 20 games played. Quinnipiac could host the ECAC Hockey quarterfinal series next weekend, but that will not be confirmed until after the conclusion of the regular season.

SCORING SUMMARY

(8:43, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, RPI 0: Nina Steigauf opened the scoring in the second period with an unassisted goal scored off a turnover by RPI. She danced past RPI's Emilie Venne and scored the eventual game winner.
(10:02, 2nd period, PP) – Quinnipiac 2, RPI 0: Renee Saltness tallied her second goal of the season off a deflected puck in the slot and hit it first time past Venne. Zoe Boyd and Sophie Urban tallied assists on the goal.
(3:33, 3rd period, PP) – Quinnipiac 3, RPI 0: Peart scored her third power play goal this season off a rebound from a shot by Taylor House. Alexa Hoskin also recorded an assist on the goal.
(4:22, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 4, RPI 0: Steigauf notched her second goal of the game late in the third period after getting her own rebound and finding the back of the net past Venne.

PROGRAM HISTORY NOTES

Quinnipiac earned its 23rd win against RPI.
The Bobcats have won 22 games this season, which is the most since the 2015-16 season.

NOTES

Steigauf and Boyd led the team with two points each. Steigauf has tallied a team-leading 14 goals this season, and Boyd tallied two assists to bring her to 10 points on the season.
Peart added a goal of her own and has 28 points on the season. House, Urban and Hoskin also recorded one helper each.
Quinnipiac out shot RPI, 27-18.
RPI controlled the face-off circle, winning 62%.
The Bobcats went 1-3 on the power play, and the Engineers went 0-5.
Since Jan. 1, 2022, the Bobcats have allowed just two power play goals against and have scored nine power play goals of their own.
