Samoskevich, Mobley Lead #9 Bobcats Past #6 Harvard

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 9/9 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team defeated the No. 6/6 Harvard Crimson on Saturday afternoon on the road. Sophomores Maddy Samoskevich and Olivia Mobley both netted goals to lift Quinnipiac past Harvard. Graduate student Corinne Schroeder made 23 saves in the net and picked up her 10th win of the season.
The Bobcats out shot the Crimson 37-24 and improve to 21-7-3 overall and 13-6 in ECAC Hockey play.
Quinnipiac sits in fourth place in the ECAC Hockey standings with three games remaining. Yale controls the number one spot, followed by Harvard and Clarkson.

SCORING SUMMARY
- (4:41, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 0, Harvard 1: The Crimson scored their lone goal early in the first period. Becca Gilmore received the puck from Kristi Della Rovere and skated along the left side and into the slot. She then sent it past Schroeder into the net.
- (5:02, 2nd period, PP) – Quinnipiac 1, Harvard 1: The Bobcats scored a beautiful power play goal to tie the game. Nina Steigauf got the puck down on the left side below the circle and found Lexie Adzija wide open in the left side of the slot. Adzija looked like she might shoot, but she did not and sent it behind her to Maddy Samoskevich on the right circle. Samoskevich shot it first time and sent it past Lindsay Reed to tie the game.
- (00:29, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 2, Harvard 1: Mobley gave the Bobcats the lead 29 seconds into the third period and that's all the Bobcats would need to win. Ann-Frédérik Naud skated through the neutral zone and shot the puck at Reed from the right side. The rebound went into the slot and Mobley was there to send a back-handed shot on net past Reed.
- Quinnipiac earned its 11th win against Harvard and first this season. The Bobcats and Crimson split the season series.
- This is also the Bobcats' fourth top-ten victory this season.
- Samoskevich and Mobley both scored goals in the win. Samoskevich now has 11 points this season. Mobley has recorded a team-high 13 goals this season, including four game-winning goals.
- Adzija, Steigauf, Naud and Reilly all tallied assists in the win.
- Schroeder made 23 saves in the win. Harvard's Lindsay Reed made 35.
- The Bobcats out shot the Crimson 37-24.
