HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's soccer is set for the 2022 MAAC title contest, as the Bobcats will play host to Niagara on Sunday afternoon in Hamden.
Top-seeded QU will square off with No. 3 Niagara after both teams won in the MAAC Semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 3. Quinnipiac defeated No. 5 Canisius in Hamden, while Niagara went on the road to defeat No. 3 Fairfield.
The Bobcats have made three MAAC Championship appearance since joining the league. Quinnipiac also reached the title match in 2016 and 2021.
QU's last NCAA Tournament appearance came in 2000, when the Bobcats won the NEC Championship.

BOBCATS → BEST IN THE MAAC
- Quinnipiac went 9-1-0 in the 2022 regular season to earn the league's #1 seed. The Bobcats won each of their final three games of the regular season.
- QU is 54th in the nation in RPI, the highest-ranked team in the MAAC.
- Quinnipiac has scored 49 goals so far this year, which ranks eighth in the entire country.
- Rebecca Cooke leads the entire country with 20 goals.
- Courtney Chochol has 12 assists, the fourth-highest total in the country.
- Junior forward Rebecca Cooke has earned the MAAC Golden Boot Award, as announced by the league office on Monday, Oct. 31.
- 10 Bobcats earned All-MAAC status in total – with seven QU players making the league's First Team. The Bobcats placed more student-athletes on All-MAAC teams than any other institution.

- Cooke currently leads the country in goals (20). She has 47 total points so far during the 2022 season.
- Cooke went 11 consecutive games with a goal from 8/25 – 10/12, and has five multi-goal games to date.
- The junior recorded 11 goals in MAAC regular season play for the Bobcats.
- Niagara went on the road to down No. 2 Fairfield in the MAAC Semifinals.
- The Purple Eagles defeated Marist in penalty kicks during the league's quarterfinal round, then topped Fairfield 3-1 in regulation.
- Five Purple Eagles, Ida Miceli, Emily Hähnel, Annie Ibey, Emma Davies, and Emma Ramsay, have been named to All-MAAC teams, the conference office announced Monday morning.
- Quinnipiac is 6-3-1 vs. Niagara since joining the MAAC. The Bobcats have taken each of the last six matchups between the two programs.
- Dave Clarke enters his 23rd season at Quinnipiac.
- Clarke has firmly cemented himself as one of the premiere college coaches in the NCAA's highest division. He led the Bobcats to an NCAA Tournament berth in 2000 and a regular season title in 2001, and is the winningest coach in QU program history.
- The Bobcats 2022 fall schedule features 16 total contests, including eight home games at the QU Soccer Stadium in Hamden.
- The Bobcats will open the fall slate on Thursday, Aug. 18 on the road against Lafayette. Quinnipiac then returns to Hamden for its home opener against Stony Brook on Aug. 25.
- The MAAC Tournament will take place on Oct. 30, Nov. 3 and Nov. 6 at the highest seed
- The Bobcats went 13-5-1 last year, going 7-3 in MAAC play during the fall 2021 campaign.
- Quinnipiac reached the MAAC Championship, falling against Monmouth on Nov. 7 in West Long Branch, N.J.
- QU has advanced to at least the semifinal round of the postseason MAAC Tournament in five of the last six years.
