The Bobcats will play 16 regular-season games, hosting seven contests at the QU Soccer Stadium in Hamden. The Bobcats will begin their preseason on August 5th as they host the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils in a preseason exhibition contest. Quinnipiac will conclude their preseason with an exhibition on the road against St. John's on August 8th.
Coach Clarke's squad will kick off the regular season on August 12th as they travel to Worcester, Massachusetts for a 6 PM kickoff against the Holy Cross Crusaders. The Bobcats will travel to Worcester for the first time since 2017 and are 8-4-1 all-time against the Crusaders. Later that week, the Bobcats will head down to North Carolina to take on the Tar Heels of UNC. Last season, the Tar Heels fell to the TCU Horned Frogs in the third round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament. This matchup will mark the first time the two teams are facing each other.
After two road contests to begin the new season, the Bobcats will open their 2026 home slate with in-state rivals, Yale, coming to town on August 23rd. This will be the 12th time the two teams are facing off since 2000, with the Bulldogs leading the all-time series, 11-1. The lone win against the Bulldogs came in 2021 as the Bobcats defended their home turf and took home the 4-0 victory. After hosting the Bulldogs, Quinnipiac will wrap up their non-conference slate with a road matchup against the UAlbany Great Danes on August 29th.
Quinnipiac will begin conference play on September 5th as they host the Niagara Purple Eagles. Quinnipiac defeated the Broncs 1-0 last season and has won five straight contests. Last season, the Bobcats scored two goals in the second half to force a 2-2 draw in the second conference game of the season. A week later, the Bobcats will head to Emmitsburg, Maryland to take on Mount St. Mary's on September 12th. Since Mount St. Mary's joined the conference in 2022, the Bobcats are 3-1 against the Mountaineers.
The Bobcats will return home for a pair of conference games, hosting the Marist Red Foxes (September 19th) and the Merrimack Warriors (September 23rd). After a pair of home games, QU will head off for two road contests. QU continues conference play with road bouts at Manhattan (September 26th) and Canisius (October 3rd). Last year, the Bobcats had their season ended by the Canisius Golden Griffins in the MAAC Semifinals in penalty kicks.
Coach Clarke and the Bobcats will return home for the first time in October, hosting the Sacred Heart Pioneers on October 7th. In the previous matchup, Morgan Cupo netted two goals as the Bobcats came from behind to defeat the Pioneers on the road. Just three days later on October 10th, QU will battle the Iona Gaels in Hamden for the first time in two seasons. Last season, QU defeated the Gaels 2-0 in New Rochelle.
Three of their final four contests of the regular season are road contests, starting with Rider on October 17th. Quinnipiac will stay on the road after their contest with Rider as they make the short trip to Fairfield to take on the Stags. In their lone matchup last season, the Bobcats and Stags played to a 1-1 draw. Corey Anderson netted the game-tying goal in the 90th minute.
Quinnipiac will close out the month of October with their final home contest of the regular season as they welcome the Siena Saints to town. The Bobcats are 7-9-4 all-time against the Saints and are 5-2-2 on their home field. The Bobcats will close out the regular season on the road against the Saint Peter's Peacocks with a 2 PM kickoff on November 4th.
Last season, the Bobcats closed out the campaign with an 8-3-6 overall record and an 8-0-4 mark in conference play. Quinnipiac played in its tenth straight MAAC Tournament last season and will look to make it eleven straight conference tournaments this year.
