Dave Clarke Unveils QU Women's Soccer 2022 Schedule
HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's soccer program has revealed its schedule for the upcoming 2022 season, as announced by Dave Clarke and the program on Tuesday, July 12.
Quinnipiac's schedule features 16 regular season contests in total. The Bobcats will host eight home games at the QU Soccer Stadium in Hamden.
QU kicks off the 2022 campaign with an exhibition contest at home against Central Connecticut State (Aug. 10), before traveling to Storrs, Conn. for a second exhibition against UConn (Aug. 14) on the road.
The Bobcats will open the fall slate on Thursday, Aug. 18 on the road against Lafayette. Quinnipiac then returns to Hamden for its home opener against Stony Brook on Aug. 25.
QU travels to Yale on Aug. 28, followed by home contests against Maine (Sept. 3) and Fordham (Sept. 7). The Bobcats round out the non-conference schedule at Rhode Island (Sept. 11).
The Bobcats begin the MAAC calendar on Sept. 17 at home at the QU Stadium against Niagara, followed by a road bout on Sept. 24 at Canisius.
QU's remaining road league dates include: Fairfield (Oct. 1), Marist (Oct. 5), Iona (Oct. 15) and Saint Peter's (Oct. 22).
The Bobcats' other home league dates are: Siena (Sept. 28), Rider (Oct. 12), Manhattan (Oct. 19) and Mount St. Mary's (Oct. 26). The Oct. 26 matchup against Mount St. Mary's will mark the first meeting between QU and the MAAC newcomers since the 2012 season.
The MAAC Tournament will take place on Oct. 30, Nov. 3 and Nov. 6 at the highest seed.
The Bobcats went 13-5-1 last year, going 7-3 in MAAC play during the fall 2021 campaign. Quinnipiac reached the MAAC Championship, falling against Monmouth on Nov. 7 in West Long Branch, N.J.
QU has advanced to at least the semifinal round of the postseason MAAC Tournament in five of the last six years.
