Bobcats Fall in PKs to Canisius

Hamden, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's soccer team's season came to an end in the MAAC Semifinals to the Canisius Golden Griffins on Thursday afternoon in Hamden. After Quinnipiac and Canisius were tied 1-1 after the overtime periods, the Golden Griffins advanced in PKs, 4-3.
After a scoreless opening half, the Canisius Golden Griffins were awarded a penalty kick in the 48th minute. Maggie Cregan stepped up to the spot and got the Golden Griffins on the board first with her third goal of the season.
Less than ten minutes later, the Bobcats were rewarded with a free kick from just outside of the box. Corey Anderson slotted home her fourth goal of the season to get the Bobcats even.
Nothing else found the back of the net in the second half, and both overtime frames were played with the score remaining 1-1.
