Schroeder Leads #4 Bobcats in 1-1 Tie at #1 Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. – Sixty-five minutes was not enough to decide a winner at La Bahn Arena on Sunday. The No. 4/4 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team skated to a 1-1 tie at No. 1/1 Wisconsin on Jan. 2. Sophomore Maddy Samoskevich scored the Bobcats' lone goal, and graduate student Corinne Schroeder recorded a season-high 41 saves in the net.
The Badgers struck first, scoring in the second period, but the Bobcats answered right back and netted a goal with one minute and 26 seconds left in the second frame. Wisconsin out shot Quinnipiac, 42-28.

- (2:06, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 0, Wisconsin 1: The Badgers netted the first goal of the game about two minutes into the second period. Sarah Wozniewicz gave the Badgers a 1-0 lead and was assisted by Grace Shirley and Grace Bowlby.
- (18:34, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, Wisconsin 1: The Bobcats tied the game, 1-1, with a goal from Samoskevich. First-year Ann-Frederick Naud sent the puck on net, and Samoskevich was there to bury the rebound past Wisconsin's Kennedy Blair.
- With today's tie, Quinnipiac joins Clarkson as the only non-conference teams to play at Wisconsin and leave with something other than a loss.
- This was the first tie for the Bobcats against the Badgers in program history.
