Fourth Men's Ice Hockey Player to Ever Receive All-CHN Honors
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's ice hockey senior Odeen Tufto (Chaska, Minnesota) has been named to the All-College Hockey News Second Team, as announced by CollegeHockeyNews.com on Wednesday, March 31.
Tufto is the fourth Bobcat to be named to an All-CHN Team in in program history, and third to be named to the second team. Chase Priskie '19 and Sam Anas '16 each earned second team honors in 2018-19 and 2015-16, respectively, while Eric Hartzell '13 was a first team selection in 2012-13.
He is one of 13 players named to the All-CHN First or Second Team, and only ECAC Hockey skater to earn All-CHN honors in 2020-21.
Tufto has a long list of accolades in his senior season as he was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Year, First Team All-ECAC Hockey and is a Top 10 Finalist for the Hobey Baker Award.
He posted one of the best seasons in Quinnipiac men's ice hockey history as he led the nation with 39 assists, 1.34 assists per game and 20 power-play assists. Tufto also ranked second nationally with 47 points, 1.62 points per game and 22 power-play points, as well as third with 379 faceoff wins and four with a .624 faceoff percentage.
Tufto ended the season with an eight-game point streak, his second-longest of the season after recording a 12-game point streak from Dec. 19 to Jan. 17 which stood as the second-longest point streak in the nation.
He recorded 15 multi-point efforts, good for the second-most in the nation this season and had six multi-point games for 18 points over his final eight-game point streak.
Tufto guided Quinnipiac to its fifth Cleary Cup as ECAC Hockey Regular Season Champions in the past nine seasons, and the Bobcats appeared in the league championship game for the third time since joining ECAC Hockey.
