
Bobcats Sweep ECAC Hockey Weekly Awards

Tufto Named Player of the Week, Petruzzelli Goaltender of the Week and Räsänen Rookie of the Week
ALBANY, N.Y. – Quinnipiac men's ice hockey swept the final set of ECAC Hockey Weekly Awards as Odeen Tufto (Chaska, Minnesota) was named the Player of the Week, Keith Petruzzelli (Wilbraham, Massachusetts) was the Goaltender of the Week and Iivari Räsänen (Tampere, Finland) earned Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday, March 29.
Tufto's player of the week honors are the fourth of the season and ninth of his career while Petruzzelli earned goaltender of the week for the fifth time this season and eighth of his career. Räsänen won his second rookie of the week honor.
Tufto led Quinnipiac with a goal and an assist for two points against Minnesota State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. He scored the game's first goal and assisted CJ McGee's (Pearl River, New York) goal in the third period.
Tufto finished the season with an eight-game point streak, his second-longest of the season. He scored points in 24 of Quinnipiac's 29 games.
He closes out an outstanding senior season for the Bobcats ranked first nationally with 38 assists, 1.34 assists per game and 20 power-play assists. Tufto is also second in the nation with 47 points, 1.62 points per game, 22 power-play points and 15 multi-point games. His 379 faceoffs rank third and his .624 faceoff percentage is fourth.
Petruzzelli made 34 saves in an outstanding effort against Minnesota State in the NCAA Tournament. His 34 saves were his second-most in a game this season, and came up big when he needed to with 13 saves in the second period and six in overtime as the Bobcats were outshot, 38-30.
He wraps up the season ranked fourth nationally with 17 wins and four shutouts, while his 1.89 GAA is tied for sixth and his .926 save percentage tied for 10th. Petruzzelli has tied for the most games played with 29 while his 1715:45 minutes played are the most in the nation.
Räsänen assisted Tufto's goal opening goal and added two blocked shots in his first-ever NCAA Tournament game. He played significant minutes for the Bobcats throughout the game and has been a solid addition to Quinnipiac's strong defensive unit.
He finished the season with one goal, seven assists and eight points in his rookie season, and notched seven of his eight points over the final 11 games. He tied for third among ECAC Hockey rookie defensemen in assists and points, and was tied for third among all rookie skaters in the league in assists and eighth in points.
