DeWees Records Career-High 20 Points in the Win
HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team won an overtime thriller over the Marist Red Foxes, 59-55, on Monday afternoon in Hamden. Junior guard Rose Caverly hit a layup with 0.7 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime. The Bobcats never trailed in the extra frame to seal the victory.
Junior guard Mackenzie DeWees once again led the Bobcats on the offensive end, scoring a career-high 20 points and dishing out three assists. The Westminster, Md. native also grabbed nine rebounds. Sophomore forward Mikala Morris eclipsed the double-digit rebound mark with 14 in the victory.

- The two teams traded buckets to begin the second quarter, but Quinnipiac answered back with an 11-0 run to take a 25-16 lead.
- The Bobcats outscored Marist, 17-7, in the second frame to take a 29-20 lead into halftime.
- The Red Foxes started the second half strong as they cut the Bobcats lead to one through an extended 14-6 run in the third quarter.

Quinnipiac called timeout to advance the ball, and Rose Caverly took the ball to the basket and hit a layup at the buzzer to tie the game at 50 and send the game to overtime.
- The Bobcats scored the first two points of the overtime to take a two point lead, which they would hold for the first two minutes of the extra frame.
- Marist tied the game at 53, but that was the closest it got as Quinnipiac outscored the Red Foxes, 6-2, over the final three minutes of overtime to win the game, 59-55.
- The Bobcats held Marist to only 29 percent shooting, which is the lowest an opponent has shot against Quinnipiac this season.
- Quinnipiac forced 17 Marist turnovers, turning those into 11 points.
- The Bobcats recorded eight blocks, their second-highest total this season.
