Strong Second Quarter Paces Bobcats in Win Over Saint Peter's

Chiara Bacchini Records Career-High 10 Points
JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team used a dominant second quarter to seal a 68-56 victory over Saint Peter's on Sunday afternoon. The Bobcats were never tied or trailed in the 12-point victory.
The Bobcats outscored the Peacocks, 25-7 in the second frame behind 10 points from senior guard Chiara Bacchini. She finished the game with 10 points, setting a new career high. The Parma, Italy native was one of five Bobcats to eclipse the double-figure mark in points.
Junior guard Mackenzie DeWees led the charge offensively for the Bobcats, scoring 18 points in 37 minutes of action. The Westminster, Md. native was very efficient shooting the ball, hitting eight of her 12 shot attempts, including knocking down her only three-point attempt in the victory.
